This info applies only when used in a Infiniti G35, other applications may vary. The sensor is an exact OEM replacement and goes right in. This does NOT include an O-Ring BUT when used as the crankshaft position sensor on the G35/350Z (Located at the bottom of the bell housing behind the steering rack) no O-Ring is required for this application, the factory Nissan part that this replaced did not use an O-ring either. Overall good part, Hitachi is the OE manufacturer and the car runs well with this new sensor. Well worth the extra $20 for the peace of mind going with OE over some random brand and comes in at about half the cost of a Nissan branded part from my local dealership.

Replaced the sensor on a 2005 G35 with no issues

I installed this in my 2004 Infiniti FX35 and it seems to working ok, looked just like the one I removed, which I'm pretty sure was original. There were a few steel shavings on the one I removed (probably from the starter teeth on the flex plate), I wonder if that was the real problem. I don't understand how you can buy a Chinese (I assume) version of this part for $16.50 here on Amazon, at the Nissan dealer for $246, and pretty much at every price point in between. The box on this one was marked "made in Japan".
