Hot Wheels Star Wars Starship A-Wing Fighter (Rebels)

Been collecting the Hot Wheels Star Wars die casts for the last 2 months now and I gotta say they are great replicas with nice paint apps and few flaws in the bodies. Overall sturdy and accurate to the Star Wars ships they represent, this A-Wing (one of my all-time favorite ships of the alliance) looks great displayed on a desk or beaurow. The A-Wing has been hard to find in my neck of the woods and Amazon seemed to be one of the few places that has it. (Although they list it as an "add-on" item. This was slightly confusing, as it appears that you can only purchase add-on items once you hit a certain price point in your cart.) Once you collect one or two, these little ships get addictive! I believe any young boy or girl would fall in love with these if they love Star Wars and miniatures!

This is a die cast toy, not plastic. The detail on this thing is great, and it fits in well with my older micro machine toys. I hadn't noticed until I put it side by side with the U-Wing, but if you look at Amazon's 3rd picture showing the product packaging, you'll see that the etching in the stand looks like a phoenix. Also the picture maybe looks like the stand could move up and down and be adjusted, but it's actually static and does not move. I attached a picture to show the scale of the toy, next to my new Revell Snaptite Poe's X-Wing and my old Action Fleet X-Wing from the 90's. I also included a picture showing the difference in the rebel icon etching on the stands.

Great quality piece! I love that Hot Wheels is making these ships with such quality for the price! The A-Wing is such an iconic look, too!

One of my all time favorite Star Wars ship figures right here. Looks great, nice weight to it.

Packaging was clean and in-tact, the figure itself has a decent enough paint job. Could be better, but what the hell, it's barely $5. The main body of the ship (fuselage?) is metal while the cannons and engines seem to be plastic. Overall a decent figure of an awesome ship.

If you play Empire at War, you'll see A-Wing fighters. It was nice to "connect the dots".
