REED Instruments R5002 Digital High Voltage Insulation Tester

This tester works great. Unlike the 50 dollar Chinese testers, the probe is actually shielded properly and the output voltage is displayed on screen!The case it includes is very rugged, and the device itself is also rugged on its own. One slight problem with the case is that it doesn’t have proper sections for each of the test probes. It has one compartment for the device and one compartment for the clips, probes, and everything else. It would be nice to have an individual compartment for each probe to prevent tangling.If you want an accurate insulation resistance tester that can do 5kV, this is the one to buy.

Inaccurate. Spending this much money, this tool should be perfect. The readings are off by a significant margin. Unbelievable.
