I have only tested this case in my sink because it was given as a Christmas gift and I live in Maine. I will give it a good testing when the lakes are not frozen and I begin snorkeling again. It seems to work as intended but the lanyard given, which is well made is next to impossible to "snake" through the intended holes. I tried pushing it through every which way to no avail. I then tried to pull it through using tweezers and ended up damaging the lanyard.
