KEEPS THE ROOM NICE AND COOL
I purchased about a couple weeks ago and it did work very well for a 800 square-foot apartment. It kept it really cool, but my only issue with it was that it was a little too loud for me. I work from home so it was hard to take calls ect with the loud noise in the background but other than that it’s a great product and works great. Also, it is pretty heavy so keep that in mind.

Great AC
This ac cools down my living room, hallway and kitchen. Roughly 500sq feet. With no problem. My window ac finally died on me so I started looking for new ones. The problem with the reg ac was I needed at least a 12000 to cool the whole downstairs and I couldn't put it in by myself, so I always needed my Dad or friends to help me. And since I already had a serenelife 12000 up in my bedroom, I decided to get the 14000 for downstairs. Now I'm a single mother so I have to buy everything in the off season so I got mine in January and bought a used like new one and it works wonderfully. Besides the fact that after all said and done I only paid $200. However it is def worth the reg price. It's very powerful and easy to install. The ac unit moves well across floors and I have carpeting. It's a bit quieter then my 12000btu but I can't really say by how much. It cools things down faster then the 12000 though. And because I live in Maine, the weather is all over the place. Could be 75 or hotter during the day but then can get down to 40 at night. So the fact that I can take the window mount in and out of the window with ease is awesome. All in all I really love it, and you can't really go wrong with this ac. All i can say is that Serenlife makes a good product!

Greatly Disappointed
This is a review for SereneLife SLPAC14 Portable Air Conditioner (14,000 BTU). I had a great AC that died recently. So, I did some research to find the ideal AC, however I had the hardest time choosing one due to lack of information on the AC’s listing pages and lack of honest opinions. So, I’m writing this review to help you make the right decision, or rather to save you from making the same mistake I made. In short, this AC is not good. Stay away. Don’t buy. To elaborate more: - Manual is in broken English. Some instructions are hard to understand. - The AC is heavier and larger than an average portable AC. Plus, you need around 20 inches of space around it, and the hose needs to be 35 inches up and away from the floor. Small room? Low window? No good. - Manual states “When the temperature is higher than 40c/104-f, it’s not recommended to use this unit.” Go ahead, buy this AC, but don’t use it when it’s hot outside. Shouldn’t this be in the product description? Shouldn’t one know BEFORE buying? - Wheels are useless. Needs A LOT of effort to move the AC if you have carpets on your floors. Therefore, it’s not truly portable. You can’t easily move it from window to window, and you might need help to get it to the window you want to install it in. Can’t comment on wooden or tile floors. - Manual states “If the machine is shut down in the cooling operation state, it needs to wait for three minutes before it can be turned on automatically”. And that is exactly what it’s been doing. You set it to cool and pick a temperature. When it reaches the set temperature, it turns totally and completely OFF. Three minutes later, it turns on again, then off. Without switching to fan mood in between. Why is this a problem? Well, you know when you first turn on white noise? You notice it at first, then it blends into the background. It drowns out all other annoying noises and helps you sleep, work, study, etc. Even when it’s loud, you don’t notice it until you shut it off. That’s what this AC does. It turns on with a LOUD white noise, then it turns COMPLETELY off. Doesn’t switch to fan mood. Then, a few minutes later, it turns on again. So you are constantly listing to the sound of white noise turning on and off, repeatedly. It gave me a terrible headache within the hour. It wakes me up every single time it turns off, or on. No restful sleep what so ever. I woke up exhausted and grumpy. If you want peaceful, restful sleep, this AC is not for you. - Control Panel: It sings TELALA in a loud, high-pitched voice, announcing itself to my entire building every time I press any button (panel or remote). How do you feel about your AC shouting at you every time you touch its buttons? If someone is sleeping, and you attempt to adjust the settings on this AC, you’ll wake them up. - Remote: Doesn’t sync with the panel on the AC. If you use the panel to turn on the AC and adjust the settings, then you grab the remote to change something. The settings on the panel will suddenly revert to the last settings you choose the last time you used the remote. All the settings you picked on the panel are now changed. Basically, you’ll need to stick to either the remote or the panel at all times and don’t touch the other. Although, if you want to use the temperature in celsius, your only option is the remote. - Window Kit and Hose: The hose is paper thin. So thin it wrinkles and lets in heaps of heat and sunlight. Window kit is just as bad. Thin plastic. Warps when you close the window, leaves tons of gaps, and doesn’t even fit a standard 35”-36" window. You’ll need to shed an extra $50 for a new kit. - Filter: A cheap thin layer of mesh. Never seen AC filter this cheap. Already showing signs of wear and tear and it’s brand new. - Drain Outlet: There is only ONE drain outlet. Positioned at the very bottom of the AC. It’s so low, it’s touching my carpet. No space, not even for the thinnest pan or tray. If there was a second outlet, you could easily open the bottom outlet (water won’t flow yet), hookup a drain hose, then open the top drain outlet, and THAT will cause the water to flow from the bottom drain. But with just ONE outlet, you need a yard, balcony, or other suitable place that allows for draining without a tray or hose. Many people don’t have such options. Also, when the AC tank is full of water, according to the manual, it’ll start beeping. Who’s in for a midnight awakening during a heat wave because the AC is throwing a fit? - Cooling Power: Even though I got the 14,000 BTU, and the temperature outside is only 22-c/72-f, and the room the AC is in is about 350 sq, I’m sweating! Most likely because the AC is not switching to fan mood. It just keeps shutting down every few minutes. Leaving me feeling suffocated with no flowing air or white noise to save me from my noisy neighbours like my previous AC did! Conclusion: The heat is sneaking upon us here in south California. It’s hard to believe how unlucky I got with this AC. Trapped in this terrible situation. Unable to afford another AC, and have no physical strength, transportation, or help to return it. I just want to cry. So upset. Sad beyond words. Do yourself a favor and look into other ACs from other companies. With that, I end my review and hope that it helped you in your search. Best of wishes to you all.

Great customer service
I was missing the remote and the manual from the package. I contacted customer service and they sent me a link to download the PDF of the manual and shipped a remote to me. Very responsive. The only small issue I have with it (maybe I am not handy enough) is that the sliding door panel connects with the hose - it won't stay/lock in place so I need to use duck tapes front and back, plus I need to use a piece of foam board to keep top panel not sliding down. I know this is not the best solution but that's what I can do for now. The machine itself works well, the noise level is reasonable, and the cooling works well. It does take a lot of power (the house is old with old electric panels that can't be expended) so when I turn it on, sometime it will trigger the break and shut down everything even though I have nothing else turn on in the room. It is a lifesaver when it's 90-100 F outside!!

Saved me!
My AC went down and couldn’t be replaced for 3 weeks in a heat wave. This unit saved me. Delivered fast, set up easily and worked perfectly. The best part, no drain so no heavy water bucket to empty. Good value for a bedroom or large living room.

Cools but loud
We bought this to supplement our central air in our attic bedroom. Pros: it cooled the space down nicely Cons: it takes up space in your room and cannot be hidden very well. It looks nice enough, but between the giant hose that goes into your window and the size of the unit itself, it takes up a lot of space. The kit that comes with the unit to prevent gaps in your window is completely ineffective. My husband had to create something on his own, and even that wasn’t airtight. It. Is. Loud. That is annoying in itself, but worse than just being loud is that it does that super annoying thing where it will run and then turn off for like 30 seconds and then turn back on. (Like hotel ac/heaters do). So I would finally get used to the very loud white noise. (which was still very loud with my earplugs in.) and be falling asleep and then the weird shift and noise would happen and wake me up. Bottom line: it’s more comfortable because it’s nice and cool, but for me, the noise is almost unbearable.

Let's write a review for this portable AC I can immediately give 5 stars! A very good air conditioner for the home, easy to install if you follow the instructions, very easy to move on carpet, laminate or parquet. Manula does a great job explaining how to install and why each part is used and how to use it. It fits our window well, there are no air gaps, the pipe is very easy to place where it fits in the window. Not that loud at all, compared to my previous air conditioner, this new air conditioner has even better settings and functions. We are very impressed with this product and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. Our living room and kitchen are super cool because we set the temperature to 17 Celsius on the low setting. The delivery was excellent, the package was correct without any damage to the package. No issue with electric fuse works amazing.

Great AC – Cool, Quiet, and Easy to Use! Just bought the Serelife Air Conditioner and I’m very happy with it! It cools the room fast, runs quietly, and was super easy to set up. I love the different modes and the remote is a nice bonus. Perfect for hot summer days — definitely worth it!

Watch out for a few things if you are planning to buy this AC. First, if you apartment is old and operates using Fuzes, don't buy it, I have been breaking or burning my apart fuzes since I started using this AC. I bought in March but I didn't use, when I started to used during summer I saw what I have done. I cannot return because passed the 30 days. The AC says 14000BTUs, but the electrician came here and measure, right when you turn on the AC, it gives to your electrical net a spike of 34000BTU, breaking or burning anythhing. The electrician said, never leave the apartment with this thing on, also the Timer???? Hahah, I tried everything to set that timer, nothing works. I cannot use the timer the turn off this thing. It doesn't blow enought cold air even in the high speedy, the unit is big, heavy and not easy to move around and doesn't get your room cold. It is super noisy, you won't sleep with this thing in your apartment at all. If you leave in a house or a at least two bedroom apartment maybe, but again it won't cool if it is not inside your room. Not worth the money. Buy one smaller, with less BTUs. I purchased the AC Serene Life Compact 14,000 BTU unit in March, and initially, everything seemed fine when I briefly tested it. However, when the heat wave hit Vancouver and I needed to use it consistently, serious issues arose. Every time I turned the unit on, it caused the fuse in my apartment to blow immediately. This has happened eight times, leading to multiple power outages in different parts of my apartment. I had two electricians come to inspect the unit, and while it is rated at 14,000 BTU, they discovered it spikes to 34,000 BTU at startup. This sudden surge is far too much for my apartment’s electrical system to handle. The air conditioner cannot be used at high speed without overloading my apartment's power supply, making it effectively useless for its intended purpose. Additionally, I cannot leave it running when I am not home due to safety concerns, and the timer function is faulty and does not shut off the unit as programmed. Given these significant issues, I am requesting a full refund for the AC Serene Life Compact 14,000 BTU unit. It is unsafe, unreliable, and unfit for use in my apartment. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly.

This is a great air conditioner, no complaints with the way it cools down my living room and kitchen approx 500 sq ft, my only issue is the plastic parts that are to go in a standard window is way too long, I had to rig it to work and not even sure if that was a good idea because it looks like crap, also the hose is very short so if you are in a house like I am the window is quite taller than the unit so the unit needs to be super close to window, would prefer a longer hose and parts that are more standard window friendly, the ac unit works beautifully my house is cool but the installation was not ideal for a single woman that doesn’t know how to “jimmy rig” the parts that are supposed to be in window for proper install.
