Very Pleasantly surprised!
This review will be in 2 parts. Order and delivery, because I was pleasantly surprised by the fast turnaround from ordering and, now, receiving after just two days. This was ordered late July 1st, and this is July 3rd. Therefore, thank you very much Amazon. Let's get down to business................ If anyone has had "cowboy" coffee, you know it's good and strong. But I don't live on the open plain and eat from a chuck wagon. The problem is there is way too much coffee waste for one person trying to figure out the right measure of coffee to water. Most times, it's the coffee that suffers. And for you non-cowboys out there, do not put the coffee grinds down the sink drain, not unless you want a big mess and an angry wife! So, here's the other kicker. I did some online investigation, which brought me to Good Housekeeping reviews, and this Braun was second overall in all the categories for performance, coffee taste, brewing, ease of operation, and much more. Now you know why I bought this machine. I've said this over and over again, sometimes you have to ignore the customer reviews and pay attention to the pros! And the price is a definite value. Well, that's the first half of this review. Next, unbox, read the instructions (I'm a huge fan of this), for tips and tricks and to stay away from, "Oh no!" Or "Oh s***! Trust me, I am tired of wasting my coffee. I enjoy cowboy cooking but this urban man needs to control expenses, but not at the expense of taste. This review will continue.....................see ya next time soon. Coffee, homemade bread, hot pepper jelly, and the 4th! This is the final stage........that first mug of coffee. Following the directions for a regular mug of coffee and waiting for the tone, the coffee was hot. I added my creamer, and oh, what a great-tasting coffee. There are many coffee maker brands from inexpensive to high-end, but paying $70 for a Braun, which was recommended by Good Housekeeping review, is a winner. Kitchen appliances are an investment; why not make a good one? Now, back to my great-tasting coffee. July 22, 2025..........I have a post script to this review.................... Regardless of what brand of coffee you use, all coffee has an oil that will leave a residue on the the craffe, the gold basket, even the plastic on or near the coffee when brewing. It is important to wash those that come in direct contact with the grounds with a dish detergent, and to wipe down those that are in indirect contact to keep the scale and "oil steam" clean. This ensures a great cup of coffee every time. And keeps your machine operating properly!

Makes a great cup of coffee, but….
Coffee maker constantly leaked water onto the warmer. Making it hiss and bubble. Looks like it leaks down the back wall onto the warmer. All my braun coffee makers have been great in the past. This one sucks. Hard to use controls. $100 bucks and my old black and decker $25 coffeemaker did a better job. SO DISAPPOINTED.

Touchscreen is hot garbage.
DO NOT PURCHASE. Touchscreen is awful. If you doubt me, check online for a video of someone trying to program this risibly overdigitized bit of kit. There is only one video on YT and it is apparent from the editing and repeated steps that even he can’t actually program it. The coffee maker itself is fine but the touchscreen is frustrating beyond endurance. It would be a 5 star machine if it had buttons but the touchscreen is so finicky that merely setting the correct time is a brutally annoying ordeal. Someday, future generations will look back on touchscreens with the same sense of bewilderment and pity that we use for leaded paint, asbestos, and cigarettes. I would prefer ANY coffee maker built between 1987 and 2020 with actual buttons over this stupidly designed and unworkably sketchy design.

Makes great coffee
I’ve been buying one version or another of these Braun coffee pots for most of my adult life. Someone gave me one when I was about 18 and have had one most of the time during the last 35 years. This pot makes great coffee in a big carafe as I expected. Keypad is a little difficult for me but my wife has no problems with it. Keep the manual in a kitchen door ‘cause you’re probably gonna need to change the clock or timer at some point. It’s easy, but only if you know how. That being said, after about 2 years my machine broke down this morning. I got the dreaded Error 01. Called Braun/delongi and after a five minute conversation with a rep, they honored their 3 year warranty and are sending me a replacement. I am surprised the machine broke, but pleasantly surprised by how great this customer service and warranty departments are. A+++

short life machine
This coffee machine has been working fine, except for occasionally leaking at the beginning of brewing. However, it stopped working suddenly after 18 months, like the one before, with a code E1, meaning need to call their customer service. I would NOT recommend it given its lifespan got shorter and shorter

Pretty good coffee maker but has it's drawbacks
This has been a pretty good coffeemaker. It brews in a just a few minutes. Coffee is hot but not scalding. It's a little messy if you put more than a couple of scoops of grounds in the filter basket. It can bubble up and leave grounds on the lid which is not easy to clean (lid does not come off for cleaning). It fits under the cabinet but you have to pull it forward to raise the lid. It uses cone filters so I had to get a different filter from what our other coffee maker uses. It blinks a couple of times when you need to run the cleaning cycle it so that might be annoying or good to people. It also makes a ticking sound as the warming plate goes on and off.

A perfect coffee maker even though it’s just been one morning the coffee was great
Had our 1st cup of coffee with this coffee maker today and it was really good. I love the charcoal filter that it comes with. I love the shape and I love the color of it a great addition to our kitchen. It’s got a great value for the money and and the size is perfect

Failed after 8 months
This coffee maker worked fine for 8 months until it abruptly quit--however: * I was never once able to set the clock without having the manual open in front of me * I was never able to get it to enter the descaling mode without the manual open in front of me * The design is such that any water spilled while filling the reservoir pours down around the hotplate instead of being trapped in the filter. * The controls are basically indecipherable without the manual. Like, instead of the descaler flashing when you need to descale like the manual says, it flashes when you power on the unit and until you start brewing, but only sometimes. Honestly, this is not a terrible machine and certainly not the worst I've owned, and the 14 cup capacity was nice and at least the caraf wasn't a dribble glass like the last coffee maker I had. And in fairness, it failed under warranty and I didn't bother to file a claim. Why? Because they wouldn't fix it, they'd just send a new one with the same defect and patch mine and sell it to some hapless sod as "refurbished," and I'm just sick of the whole disposable appliance economy after going through six coffee makers in 20 years. So I shelled out $300 for a Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV, an automatic drip coffee maker from the Netherlands designed in 1968 and still made with little update, with no effing clock and no effing program mode and only two controls: On/Off and full/half pot. I'm sure it won't be perfect, but it's one of the few consumer appliances still made to be easily repairable--forever, with every single part accessible and replaceable.

Braun pure flavour 14 Cup
I like the 14-Cup capacity. The #4 cone filter works well in this unit. The carafe pours very well and is ergonomic. The carafe glass is thin making it fragile. The hot element coated with thin Teflon enamel shows wear within weeks if use. I like the water indicator so you can make the amount of coffee cups you wish to brew. I found it easy enough to program and the clock LED is well lit when it’s brewing and visible on stand-by mode. I’m happy with it after looking at many coffeemaker options. Best feature is how it timely infuses the coffee before it starts the brewing process. Makes excellent bold good tasting coffee. Overall the quantity of 14 cups is its selling feature. The bold brew option makes great coffee as I mentioned. You can hear the coffee maker brewing and gurgling when it’s brewing. The three audible beeps to announce the coffee is ready is faint to the ear. The clean and descaling mode when flashing orange takes approximately 20 minutes with descaling solution. I purchased a gallon of descaling solution from home hardware making it more cost efficient. Using the coffee maker daily the clean me light turns on every 4 months for the descaling process. Big D

Muy elegante
Es una buena cafetera ,pero se me hace que si hace un poco de desastre si no se limpia al instante después de usar porque que salpica ,hace las misma function que una cafetera de menor precio y el filtration de agua es difícil de limpiar si se ensucia .

Nearly caught fire
Came home from groceries and found this unit smoking and sputtering sparks. If we hadn't arrived home when we did this very well could have burned our house down. Was a great unit at first but if I'd known this could have happened I would have NEVER purchased to begin with.

Awesome coffee!
I've this coffee maker! The bold setting makes the coffee exactly how I love it! Little difficult to understand how to set things at first but just follow the diagrams in the manual and not so much the words. Some are off a little.

Great drip coffee maker
Braun quailty. Useful features and easy to use and clean. Uses # 4 cone filter that are easy to find. Great drip coffee ready in 10 minutes. Never fails. I bought this 2nd unit in the likelihood my existing Braun same model but much older dies out. But it still works fine so the new one is still in the box waiting.
