4 Pack - 5" CC Vintage Swivel Caster - Grip Stem Mount - Black Cast Iron Wheel

Perfect for my needs. Only problem was that the stems needed to be inserted into a 1/2" metal pipe and the caster inserts needed to hold the stems don't exist....at least they don't for 1/2" metal pipe. Any and all inserts I found both online and locally were at least 3/4" diameter. Plus, if you are using these casters "free style" in your own creation as I was doing, it's really hard to find any inserts that have actual labels of measurements and dimensions (so that you can figure out if the inserts WILL work in your 1/2" pipe or not. ID and OD matter.....). I ended up jury-rigging some wooden dowels because they don't make any inserts for 1/2" pipe. Summation? IF YOU'RE FREE-STYLING A NEW BUILD CREATION THAT INCLUDES METAL PIPES THESE WILL BE INSERTED INTO, DON'T GET 1/2" PIPE. GET THE 3/4" PIPE. Again, sorry for sideways photo. It was taken correctly but loads up sideways and I don't see a way to edit it.

castors were what i needed...the plastic sleeves for the stems were a lot larger than i thought they would be and i don't think they gave dimensions in description. it would have been nice to have instructions for what size bit was needed for drilling hole for stem sleeve...bought 3 different bore bits before getting right size, and that was taking plastic sleeve to hardware store and asking worker in tool dept. delivery took longer than i thought it would or should.

Bought these vintage caster wheels along with a set of the locking version to go on a couple of twin beds we set up as combination day bed/TV couches. Works fantastic, looks great, and only had to pull off the existing casters to install. Would definitely recommend and would purchase again. Set arrived on time and packed well.

Good:- Sturdy- High quality wheels- Beautiful styleBad:- I wouldn't trust them on hardwood floors- The included spindle sleeve doesn't fit well in 3/4 cast iron pipes. They aren't as stable as I would like for this application.

Not for wood floors, exchanged them for the other set with the ply coating
