Impressed- and here's hoping it lasts a long time!
I am impressed. It cleans well and thus far; the shocking surprise is it's relatively quiet for a vacuum. My Apple Watch reports it as about 65-67 dB with me standing right over it while it is working. Its navigation is excellent- and trust me, and right now, my house would challenge any robot vacuum's navigation. I am in the middle of moving a lot of stuff around and cleaning out things. There's just stuff and boxes all over. Yet, "Snoopy" (hey, it is white with some dark spots!) did a fantastic job getting around everything. Bottom line, it took the black dog hair off the floors and carpets and did not get stuck. It did have a couple times where it seemed to have "issues" returning to the dock- but it eventually decided it was in the right place and backed in. The clean station, as you might expect, is louder than the unit when it empties, but it's brief. For those that complained about it- I'm not sure why. It must evacuate everything that the unit picks up, and it does it well. The bag should last 2 to 3 months. I already own the Samsung BESPOKE JET plus Clean Station and it is the exact same idea. Same size bag with slightly different configuration. The bag packs in the dirt well and trust me when I say it gets a lot around this house mostly thanks to the dog hair (yes, it's that bad, and if I was allergic, I'd be dead). The only negative I can see so far- is that the main unit is a tad tall. It's not going to go fit under some lower sofas, furniture, or beds. If that's critical to you, this is not the unit for you. Plus, I still have my excellent Neato D7, which can, if it chooses to, go on the mission impossible of cleaning under beds and furniture should I need it. 😂 The SmartThings app is a bit overwhelming at first, because it encompasses so many assorted products from Samsung, and other companies. If you're not techy, you'll have a bit of a learning curve and could get aggravated. You can always find someone who is tech savvy- and they can help. Part of the issue is that the app does a lot of different things- and it isn't always as intuitive as it should be. However, once you learn the design- you can navigate it well. I think Samsung would do itself a favor if they had a "simple mode" option for the app- especially if someone doesn’t own several products or it’s their first experience with the Smart Things App. I wish they’d refine the app more frequently. I view these units as the "keep it cleaner in-between" cleaner. If you have a super shedder dog like I have, it can help keep you sane. I love my dog, but shedding is his superpower. The minute you neglect to vacuum, it's EVERYWHERE. There is nothing worse than seeing dog hairs where they never should be seen. Ever. Do not ask. For me, these robot vacuums are a miracle! Yes, I liked my Neato a lot, but neato really needs to improve the dirt disposal process. It is too messy. My solution was just to use my regular vacuum to clean it out. That just became annoying. This is why the Clean Station concept is so appealing! It is so well executed by Samsung, having had such a positive experience with the Bespoke Jet- I knew pretty much the quality I was going to get. So far, I am not disappointed. If I ever am, I will update this review appropriately. 😉

Don't waste your time and money. RUN.
I bought this in April, and it has been in service for over a month now with no resolution! And get this... Samsung customer service is SO bad that they have had us mail it in THREE TIMES only to send it back saying there is no issue. Actually, there is a huge issue. The battery won't charge to 100% (and also dies extremely quickly), so the robot never finishes a cleaning cycle. How is it even possible not to detect this issue after 3 mail-ins? Are they just trying to play mail tag with me until the warranty expires? I loved this vacuum, but it broke for no reason in such a short time, and my husband and I are receiving ZERO support getting it fixed or replaced. He has spent so many hours day after day with Samsung via text and phonecalls, not to mention the $1,300 down the drain because they refuse to replace it or acknowledge the issue. When we can afford to buy a vacuum again, it will not be this brand!! Update: it has now been TWO MONTHS, still with no resolution. They are telling us we have to pay for a replacement part that we did not break (while the vacuum is still under warranty)! This is not a part that is easily found, and we have to figure out how to contact their parts distributor if we want to buy it at full price. And get this.... they sent it back missing another part that was not missing when we mailed it in (for the third time)!!!! This is legit the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I've gone from a huge Samsung fan to NEVER AGAIN. Save yourselves. Update 2: The battery has degraded fully now, and the robot vacuum no longer functions at all. It has been over THREE MONTHS since we first reached out for help. Samsung finally said they would send a battery... but that was promised over three weeks ago, and I still haven't received any tracking info. When I reached out about the status of the part, they only told me the case was pending and that "we must wait for an update." Ok.... WHO is responsible for updating this case??? After nearly 3 months of this headache, THE CASE SHOULD NOT BE PENDING WITHOUT REASON. No one could say why it was pending or when (or if) I can expect the part. Suddenly, they started rejecting the case without contacting me. I had to call several times to open it again, and once again they couldn't explain why the case was getting closed! Where is my battery!? Low and behold, they've demanded that the vacuum is mailed in a FOURTH TIME. Samsung customer service is a total dumpster fire and I regret ever purchasing this junk piece of plastic. We'll see what additional damage they manage to send the vacuum back with this time. Stay tuned. Update 3: What's sad is that I'm not even surprised that the vacuum came back still broken after the fourth mail in. I think it was Samsung's goal all along to make us give up, and at this point I never want to have another interaction with them again. It is pathetic that this company is Apple's biggest competitor. The only reason that they can compete is because people don't realize how horrible Samsung support is until they go through an experience like this. I also own Apple products, and their support is far superior to Samsung, and also way faster! Literally any vacuum you can find is better than this one. TLDR; We gave up on this horrible device, and instead bought a Roborock S7 Max Ultra, which we have been using for a couple of weeks now and love. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid buying a Samsung robot... or anything else for that matter. Roborock has all the same features, plus some, AND mops for the same price. Not sure how their customer service is, but it can't possibly be worse than Samsung. UPDATE 6/2024: Roborock S7 Max Ultra still going strong! We love it. Samsung, on the other hand... never functioned correctly again.

Great vacuum for light work
I’ve used Samsung robot vacuums for 7 years now. My previous one finally died after 6+ years. This one is so much better! I love that it has a self cleaning base station & the AI is much better than my previous model. On standard suction, the battery runs for about 2.5 hours, whereas on max it lasts about 1.5. If you have pets that shed & don’t keep an eye on the vacuum bag & filters, you will run into issues. The base station & canister can get clogged. Also, a dirt filter can result in suction problems.

Great for a Gym or Auditorium floor maybe?
Honestly, the bottom line is that I had to do more work rearranging the furniture and the rugs than it was worth. Picking up the heavy chairs and putting them on the table at night was no small feat for a senior citizen. The robot would fit through the legs on the chairs but it still ignored the area so it had to be hand swept. Tried to remap the whole house with the phone app several times and it still got caught on the edge of the area rugs. It left dust bunnies all over the place. It was as if it just moved everything around and then dropped it in a ball. Especially a little longer hair from one of our dogs. Left little black knots all over the carpet. Worked with Samsung service and got nowhere because all they could do was pick it up and send it out for repairs but that would have kept it too long to be able to return it within the 30 days window if it still didn't do what we needed it to do. . They said they would pick it up and try to fix it but not sure it was a repair issue as much as it is a "not a good fit for a house with a mix of hardwood and area rugs" issue. Would probably work well for a gym floor with no areas where it could get caught. Twice I got up to find the roller in one spot and the cover for the roller in another spot and the rug was caught in the machine. The last time I found it still running and it was hot as a firecracker and that did it. It scared me and I sent it back. When I was cleaning it up and repacking it, I noticed that it had not been emptying the bin even though the base made the noise like it was. it was set to empty every time it returned to the base but clearly, it wasn't working right. The robot was packed with dirt and hair so tightly that it took a while to get it all out and it filled half of a gallon zip lock back. Might have had a lot to do with why it didn't work right but given all the work it created rather than what it saved, not a good buy. BUT.. if you decide to try it...be sure you read ALL the fine print. Amazon said they would refund the money when they get good and ready to do that. Apparently, if it costs more than $25 they can take up to 30 days to "process" the return even though it was accepted and signed for by their return center. I will never buy anything but cheap everyday stuff again from this place. They have the vacuum and our money.

Best robot vacuum I've owned
I have bought this robot vacuum when it first came to market a few years ago. I have recently purchased my second one for a new home currently in. I bought the same one because I was pleased with the first one and the new one performs as well if not better than the first generation. I don't disagree that the battery will deteriorate over time. But this is expected. However out of all the robot vacuums on the market this one is about as strong as a regular vacuum as it relates to suction. I have a very mazey home (approximately 3k square feet). This vacuum can navigate the entire home without getting lost or stuck. I set up three zones, and each one is thoroughly cleaned in one round. I have never found any robot vacuum to be perfect, but out of all of them I have found this one to be the most reliable and consistent. As a side note, I have never found Samsung Customer Service to be great (poor and frustrating at best). So, the complaints regarding that point are fair. Still highly recommend this product.

Has completed more cleaning runs in two weeks than my previous bot did in 6 months.
***UPDATE*** Unfortunately, I have to bump this all the way down to 1 star. Reason: After just over one year the BATTERY NO LONGER HOLDS A CHARGE. Conveniently, it's just out of warranty. I've contacted Samsung support. No service centers around (according to their map, none exist in the United States! at least, not for this robot vacuum). No replacement battery available. This extremely disappointing as this otherwise was a very reliable, albeit not quite as powerful as others, vacuum. $1,399.67 (with tax) down the drain. Unfortunately, will have to switch brands. Samsungs customer service has been VERY disappointing. And apparently, others have had the same experience. ***************** (Writing from wife's account) BACKGROUND: Have had 4 of the other brand's D shaped robot vacuum before this(5 if you count the last one, D8, that was replaced in warranty. History with the last brand was very inconsistent ad FREQUENTLY frustrating. Enter the Samaung Jetbot ai+. My wife and I have said we didn't know whag we were missing bh sticking with the other botvac. This one has taken all of the drama out. Now each scheduled vacuuming day the assumption is it will complete its cleaning run. And for us this has actually been true 95% of the time. Bery happy with this purchase, altbough it's on the expensive side. PROS: - Quiet. Has a "Max", "Smart", and "Normal" suction setting. Smart adjusts based on florring and amount of dirt/dust detected. Max and normal are exactly as they sound. Usually use Smart. Will set to Max for spot cleang. - Map. You can specify it clean a room, designated spot, around furniture or appliances it has detected(ai), or the whole house. - Communication. It tells you everything it's doing, including when it recognizes an obstacle. Also, the light strip on the front not only looks cool but indicates various modes: green=charged, white=in operation, bule=home monitoring (via the camera). You also see the lihht bar animate when it's 'thinking'. - Battery. For our 1500+ square foot upper level it cleans it all in one run if on Smart suction and zig zag cleaning pattern. Otherwise it will return to base about 80% through to empty and charge. -Self emptying. Only have to worry about emptying the bag in the tower every 2-3 months. - Ai. It does recognize different objects and acts accordingly. If a cord, towel, clothes, cup, plate, etc, is on the floor it will usually recognize it and avoid. I say usually because I have observe it on occasion miss a power cord depending on how it's laying on the floor. I believe it has more to do with there being adequate light for the camera based ai more than anything. But 9/10 times it 'sees' , identifies, and reacta accordingly. CONS: - Scheduling. There seems to be no way to schedule it to clean specific rooms on certain days, even though Samsung's website says it should be able. Seems like an oversight in the app software I hope they correct soon. So far that's really the only one for us. Will update if we discover more.

Make certain your WIFI security is compatible
I have just got it up and working. Before getting one, check the WIFI security on your router. If it is not WEP-OPEN, WPA-PSK/TKIP, or WPA2-PSK/AES, then you will not be able to connect it to your phone or the internet. I had to get my internet provider to make a house call to upgrade mine from WPA. It still took a number of attempts to complete all the steps to connect, so you need to be persistent. It seems to vacuum pretty well but its movements are odd. It gets confused by chairs and furniture and sometimes takes many attempts to get back on track. It usually figures it out but it is funny to watch. It is a bit noisy but not as bad as a manual vacuum. OTOH, it takes longer to clean the floors. But it is thorough, so that's a plus. I'll keep it now I finally have it connected to Smart Thinhs on my phone.

Doesn't clean edges or corners. Does a poor job on carpets and rugs
This is a great robotvac with a few caveats. If you house has corners or edges. if you have any carpeting. Unless your house is spotless. If you need to clean under anything shorter than a dining table. Stay away! Other than that it is a great vacuum. Well there is not so much of a problem with the App as it is the is nothing intuitive about it. My home's floors are a mixture of hardwood and carpeting. I am not the world's greatest housekeeper. I saw this Robot vac on Amazon prime day for nearly 50% off ($649 vs $1299), LIDAR, self emptying, suitable for wood and carpet. Two day shipping. Sign me up. Amazon had UPS deliver it, and the delivery was flawless. The box was big and bulky and the driver offered to place it where it was most convenient for me. The unit was shipped with a outer cardboard box and the main box inside. The bottom main box had evidence of it being opened before, as the tape was removed. The interior packing was in perfect condition, so I am not sure whay the bottom was unsealed. Set-up was easy as pie, just follow the pictures. I turned it on, had it actually talk me through the setting to get it connected to WiFi and it was done. Maybe 15 minutes from start to finish. The App offered two methods of learning my floorplan. One by cleaning the house and one by just touring the house with the LIDAR. I chose to use the Lidar option. It completed this task in about 20 minutes (1500 SqFt ground floor). I let it go home and suck up some electrons before asking it to clean. What a good Lil' vacuum. Then the first clean it took 90 minutes to clean one room. The floor vent scared it into thinking it was a cliff. It got lost in a 200 SqFt room and needed to be put back on it's base. The following cleans were much quicker (15 minutes) and though it still avoided the floor vent it didn't get lost. The rook looked great as long as you didn't look at the edges or the area rug in the center of the room, which it totally avoided cleaning. The rug has fringe and is on a carpet pad, it struggles to make the transition from the hardwood to the rug. When it does get on the rug it is very hit or miss on what it picks up. It left a piece of down from a pillow even after going over the spot twice. The edges of the rooms has a noticeable gap in what area is cleaned and what is not. Even my old $100 Eufy robotvac does a better job with edges, though it does have the traditional spinning 'whiskers' that get right to the edge. This is with the Suction Power set to MAX. The Self Driving Mode is set to off which would limit it to "Clean 1 inch away from walls to accidentally hitting furniture and walls" When running the Lidar on the top extends upward and makes it so that it does not fit under stands and beds. Even places it could fit it won't go. I have the unit set to "Low height entry" After a half dozen cycles the unit learned the layout of the various rooms and was very efficient in cleaning the center of the room, but it never got the room's edges clean and did not do very well with the carpets and rugs. The App got you going in the most basic way, but if you wanted to make some rooms no go areas you had to find a sub App to download to do that. I only found it buy sitting down and pressing the various buttons on the app. Nowhere in the documentation did it give me any information on the App, other than you need it to get to Jet Bot AI+ to run. I want to like the vacuum, it does clean the center of the room nicely. It is efficient in it's cleaning. It is quiet (turn off the voice and just go with the chimes). It gets home and empties the bag every time. If it just cleaned the edges of the rooms and did better on the rugs and carpets I'd be singing it's praises. Unfortunately I'm going to see about returning it, even at close to 50% off.
