A+ Perfect for dancing, you just have to know "the trick"
We laid this down on my daughter's floor as she's a teenager looking to go into professional tap/jazz/ballet (or teaching it) and she is always in need of a place to practice. This worked perfectly! I was on the edge though because some of the reviews talk about the "wave" or the bumpiness caused as it's unrolled. It's PVC-ish, so just like anything in that category, it needs to be "re-stretched" with use. The first day it may have a bit of a wave to it, but use it for a week and re-tape it down, and most of them go away. Repeat this again the next week and the floor is flat. The other way of doing it is how the install Marley professionally; they use a heat gun and "stretch" (gently) the flooring as they put it down and tape it. While I didn't do this technique, I've watched it done many times with this product and it works the same as re-stretching. It's one-and-done that way, but it probably takes a little more time up front to figure out the best setting on the heat gun to massage out the wrinkles. Overall the packaging was perfect, no imperfections on the mat at all. As with anything "rolled" up - no different than a poster - it will have to relax a bit to get it uniformly flat. And again, you can do that by heat or simply by re-taping it (and stretching it) every so often as it sits. Either way, this is the same quality as competitive-level Marley so I highly recommend it!

Good quality floor
Nice floor. Just enough traction to be able to rotate without slipping. Perfect for home exercising

Rolled tight, no wrinkles, laid pretty flat out of the box.
Received the product today, rolled it out, and it’s ready for use. As expected, we did have to weigh the corners (as it was rolled). However, contrary to others’ reviews, there were no wrinkles from the roll being “flatten” as some had described. And I expect after some time unrolled (and corners weighted) it will lay flat on our hardwood living room floor. Great product and plenty large enough for our little hard shoe Irish step dancer! Would definitely recommend. Good value!

Not worth the aggravation to lay flat
Item should be rolled on circular diameter, not flop rolled, been over a month a still large creases that will not lay flat. Bought blow space heater and still not flat. Will never buy again

Perfect
Wish there was a roll inside to keep it from forming creases. But I left it unrolled for a few days, and it looks perfect. It's super thick and low odor. Same quality as what we used in our professional practice space, and so far it works well for ballet and our home gym. I've had workout equipment on it, and it's holding up quite well. Definitely worth the cost.

Good for improving aerobic dance range of motion
Really great dance floor. I placed mine over my padded floor to make Zumba & dance aerobic moves easier. My sneakers are no longer catching on the rubber mats which is better for my joints and increases range of motion. After laying the mat the wrinkles went away very quickly….

Great dance mat. I like how you can cut to the size you want & there’s a lot in the roll! It does curl up on the ends a bit, even after being taped down.

The product is great however my girls can not use it for pointe which was the intention of the purchase. We have tried multiple ways to try and get the floor flat but because it’s rolled on delivery it will not flatten. My son can use it for hip hop but if your children are dancing on pointe I would suggest to not purchase it. We are currently look for a new floor. We have tried rolling it out, flipping it over, putting heavy items on it, using a heat gun then smoothing it out and nothing works. It’s too bad because it’s a nice floor.

I bought a half sized mat from the same brand a year ago. It was good, so I thought to get a bigger one. But this mat has a completely different finish on the surface! You can see from the picture. The one on the left is the one I bought before. This one is so slippery! Not Matt finish! Not good for ballet training. I would not recommend this. Very disappointed.
