Great price for upgrading your HDD to a SSD
This SSD is priced perfectly for building a new PC or upgrading your current PC. The drive was very easy to install and super fast. I had the OS installed on it in less than 10 minutes and now my PC boots up within seconds.Definitely would buy again for future builds and upgrades and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Easy retrofit
Used free software to image the hard drive in an older Toshiba Satellite. It took about and hour to make the copy, and about 15 minutes to physically swap the old HDD out with the Gloway. It fired right up, and has worked flawlessly for several months now. The laptop boots to the desktop in 25 seconds now, and battery life has more than doubled.

Life in the fast lane!
I can't complain one bit for the price and performance. I stuck this in a brand new personal 3-in-1 type Lenovo laptop and it has performed flawlessly over the past 6 months. I have an older version in my work laptop and I've never had any issues with that either. Dollar for dollar, this is by far the best investment and improvement you can make in a modern computer.

Died after 3 months
I was skeptical about ordering his drive mainly because I did not know the brand. However after reading some of the review I decided to give it a shot. It has been less than 3 months since I have bees using it in a Dell N5110, and the drive just died without even giving some warnings. I enjoyed the speed but in terms of reliability it's simply not there.

Hard to get excited about a commodity
No complaints at all about this drive, except that, as have many others, when I went to clone a larger HDD onto this, it turned into a rather lengthy task to find out the best way to do it. It may be too much to ask, but it would be a big help if the sellers of these would provide the software that would simplify that task. If you are cloning a smaller or same size HDD onto this, it is a very simple operation. The solution that finally worked for me was to use the "Shrink Volume" operation in Disk Management in Windows 10, but that may not work for everyone. Also, if you are expecting this drive to turn an older, slower processor into a speed demon, it won't, nor would any other SSD. It clearly speeds up the boot process and some other operations, like loading web pages, but not to the point that waiting time is eliminated.

Great value plus the read and write times are better ...
Great value plus the read and write times are better than the Kingston & PNY that I also use. I use SSD's for operating systems and HDD's for DATA storage. The boot up time using the Gloway 240GB is 20 to 25 seconds. It's a keeper.

These are nice little drives
I picked a couple of these up for a few reasons. I swapped out an old failing SSD drive on my desktop and have seen zero issues with this one taking it's place. Fast load and boot times (8 sec from bios to desktop is an amazing thing). The second I put into an old laptop and stretched some more life out of it. Immediate difference in load times for the laptop swapping SSD for conventional 2.5" 5400 rpm drive. For the price you can't go wrong, although 240GB goes quick these days.

Good price wrong capacity
Update: Almost magically the extra space showed up as unpartitioned space after I formatted the 140GB that was originally available. Updated my rating from 1 Star to 4 Starts. Would be fine if not for the odd original inconvenience.Installed drive only to find out it's reading as a 140GB drive not 240GB. Would be a fantastic deal if the size was correct. Would love to exchange for the right one.
