Premium Take-Apart Kitchen Shears and General Purpose Kitchen Scissors - Premium Stainless Steel for Extra Durability, Sharpness and Rust Resistance

I've had these kitchen scissors for a few months. I had a pair of "good grips" with the soft grips and the grips split after about a year, making the scissors useless. These MAIRICO scissors have coated firm metal grips and should last a very long time for me. They are excellent, really sharp, and come apart for washing easily but don't "fall apart" accidentally for me. The slightly blunted ends make them safer than a true point would be on blades this sharp. I'm not sure what the things on the inside of the handles are for (maybe to open jars?) and really have no clue what the metal pieces on the ends of the handles are for. All I wanted was a good pair of kitchen scissors. These are very good.

I ordered a pair of scissors on October 14th and received them on October 20th, so they arrived earlier than the anticipated delivery date, October 21st. I bought this scissors for kitchen but the quality is so great that I wonder if they can cut metal as well. You can take them a apart so easily for cleaning and sharpening purpose. I used them to cut some cloth only because I couldn't find my office scissors, and they cut the cloth even without scissoring. I just hold the pair upward and moved it forward. Nice clean cut at once! I love them so far and my mom loves them as well. I highly recommend this product not only for kitchen or any purposes. Two thumbs up.

A few weeks ago my girlfriend proclaimed that we needed some kitchen shears (I think I had been using her nice scissors in the kitchen and got busted.) So I did a little reading and came up with these. Let it be noted that I'll almost never use these to cut chicken. I was raised by a chef father and I'm damn good with my knives. What I needed was a dedicated pair of scissors for the kitchen that can touch food stuff and pull apart into two pieces so that they can be sanitized. These are not fancy. Their blades are not like razors. But a few weeks in, they still look good, they are easy to clean, and I find myself using them more and more. The handles are great for both left and right hand (I'm a lefty, she's a righty). Also great for very large hands (I'm and ogre) or very thin hands (what's she doing dating me?) I think because I didn't expect anything out of them they will continue to make me happy for years to come. Some people have talked about it being difficult to put these back together. If something that takes usually takes 2 seconds now takes 5 seconds, then maybe these are not for you. One last thing. I have my go-to utensils on a magnetic strip on the wall (I know, for someone who's insane about sanitation this is stupid, but it looks awesome. this is why they call me Mr Pintrest*). The red of the handle is actually a very interesting, thoughtful shade of red. It looks great on display. *they don't really call me that.

These shears are good quality, comfortable to use, and very easy to clean thoroughly. They are designed to pivot and detach from one another. I found that they were easy to take apart, but have stayed together without incident while I had them in use. I have only used them a few times but so far am very pleased with the purchase. I purchased these as a lightning deal, so they were discounted. I don't think I would have paid the supposed retail price of $36 for them.

The scissors seemed fine when using and I was glad to find a separable pair for better washing, but clearly they are not stainless steel as claimed because a rust spot developed after the very first wash.

Great scissor straight edge with a slight serration on one of the edges, not gimmicky like the notched scissor for cutting chicken bone, I noticed the middle piece that keeps the two pieces together is starting to loosen and slip to the other side, you can just push/ pound the piece back in place....overall still a better kitchen scissor, then the plastic handle gimmicky kitchen scissors i've looked at.

As advertised: sharp and highly built! These shears have been wonderful. I have used it and it is very very sharp. I was able to cut my chicken for my meal prep with ease. Washing it after was also so easy due to the take apart feature. It came in a very nice box packaging which would make it a good gift for people.

As a lightning deal, this was OK. It is a bit on the small side, and I certainly wouldn't classify it as "heavy duty". It feels light, and is a tight fit for my small hand. The only pro I can find is that it DOES come apart for cleaning, and for safety, it only comes apart when it is FULLY opened. Not sure how it will last, but I am certainly glad I didn't pay full price.
