Even cooking and absolutely non-stick!
We are really impressed with this electric griddle, which is replacing the Teflon griddle we used for 30 years. The ceramic surface is truly nonstick: we used about a teaspoon of butter to "grease" the surface for baking pancakes and next time we'lluse less.) At 22" long, it's larger than we were looking for, but the handles are easy to remove for storage. The recommended temperature for pancakes is 350°F to 400°F. We started at 350. Our batter is rather thick and bubbles weren't forming as soon as we're used to, so we lowered it to 325. Tested one and flipped it easily, and found the underside was done perfectly. (We decided 350 was OK after all. 400 might be right for a thinner batter.) Cleanup was simple. I've included my pancake recipe in case you need a good one to test the griddle.

Great buy
I didn’t expect to love the Presto Ceramic Grill as much as I do, but it has honestly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances—especially for quick, healthy meals. First, the ceramic nonstick surface is a huge win. Food doesn’t stick at all, which means I can cook with little to no oil—perfect for keeping things lighter and healthier. Cleanup is incredibly easy too. Most of the time, I just wipe it down with a paper towel and I’m done. The heat distribution is even, which I didn’t expect from a smaller countertop grill. Chicken, burgers, grilled veggies—even sandwiches—cook evenly without hot spots. It heats up quickly, so it’s ideal when I need to get dinner on the table fast. I also really like the compact size. It doesn’t take up much counter space and is easy to store, but it still fits enough food for a small family meal.

Highly Recommended Grill With Excellent Featurs vs other grills
I love this grill. The non-stick top performs better than the typical teflon-coated black grills . I can make eggs without having to place oil or butter (scrambled or fried) without the eggs sticking. I grill veges, make quesadillas, and fry burgers or bacon. The best part is that I can remove the plug and the handles with integrated feet in order to clean the grill in the sink. CLEANING: After just a few uses I discovered the brown ring starting to show where the heating element is. I anticipated this after looking at user reviews with photos and videos. I believe this happens due to grease from bacon and other meats getting trapped within the pattern of the grill top which turns browner each time it's reheated . What I do to clean this problem is to take a cleaning brush I got from the dollar store and wet it in some gentle dish-soap sudsy water. I then lightly whisk the area that is brown ensuring that I follow the direction of the pattern in the grill top. I don't scrub but just gently whisk the bristles which will get between the grill's pattern and pick up the grease. I recommend not scrubbing in circles but instead whisk back and forth according to the direction of the pattern. The pattern is like an "X" so bottom left to top right motion and back and then bottom left to top right and back as I go around the entire brown ring on the grill. You may find this tiring or more time-consuming but doing this after grilling meats or using anything that leaves an oily residue will ensure you avoid an ugly brown ring that will take even longer if you wait a month or more to do this type of cleaning. STORAGE: I leave this grill on the counter. I sometimes turn it on its side to provide more room on the counter top but it's convenient to just leave on the counter until I need it. CONCLUSION: Other than cleaning, I don't have much else to suggest when it comes to using this grill. If you've used a grill before then you already know what you can do with this grill as it works exactly the same as any other grill. The only difference is that it seems to provide a superior non-stick and evenly heated cooking experience. This means I highly recommend you get this grill. The price is a great value. My old grill it replaced was only $20 but it was a teflon-coated type that had a smaller cooking surface and began to cut on and off sporadically. It was also impossible to clean the brown-in ring that formed on it.

Great griddle, but non-stick could be improved
I have used presto griddles for a couple decades, having 2 over that time. Eventually after regular use over 5-7 years of my last one the non-stick started to be less where I needed to use cooking spray for things like pancakes let alone eggs that stick more. So I looked for a new one and found this. There is a lot to like about it, namely its slim. But the non-stick is not exactly what I hoped it to be. It works well for most things, even sometimes eggs without spray, but the texture on the surface that they call a feature (perhaps for even heating) is more of a pain when it comes to sticking. Food gets in it and the griddle becomes less effective as non-stick because the next round of pancakes, for example, stick to the food in the textured surface not the actual surface. This does wipe clean very easily after cooking, but who wants to do that in-between cooking? The eggs are the worst with them easily flipping once, but the back side of the egg sticks to the left over deposits in the texture. In defense of presto, perhaps I run this a little warmer than I could, but my last griddle did not do this until years of use. Likewise, I bought the regular non-stick version of this griddle prior to this ceramic version and it had the same textured surface and was worse to use. This is still a nice griddle and cooks well, has removable legs and cooks evenly most of the time. I just wanted to share the non-stick performance as I was hoping for a little more with ceramic.

Best griddle we've ever had
We have owned a number of electric griddles over the years. They've all had hot spots, and the nonstick finish never held up, even though I always handwash them with gentle scrubbers. My husband does most of the cooking, and he uses the griddle for all sorts of things, including eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage, and hash browns. So he gets to see how they perform under a variety of heat conditions, and with different requirements for oil lubrication of the griddle's surface. We have been happy with our ceramic pots and pans, so when it came time to replace our griddle, I looked at the ceramic options, and found that the best reviewed ceramic griddle at the time was the Presto 07062 Ceramic 22-inch Electric Griddle with removable handles. It also happens to have a great price. So I bought it. My husband has used this griddle a lot for the past two months, and every time he uses it, he comments on how much better it is than any griddle we've ever had. It is true that there is a visible mark on the top of the griddle where the heating ring runs around the underneath — it's kind of a loss of the ceramic sheen, not really a discoloration. It does not affect the cooking at all; it will just never look new-out-of-the-box again. So we don't care about that. There is a very distinct diamond pattern texture to the entire surface. I wondered whether this would catch particles and bake them into a hard crust that would be difficult to clean, but that fear was entirely unfounded. This griddle cleans up so easily! See the photo with this review. It shows both the diamond pattern and the only two scrubbers I ever use to clean the griddle — a plastic scrubbing ball and a nail brush (for fingernails). After sudsing off the surface of the griddle with the scrubbing ball, I give it a light rinse and then use some of the leftover suds to run diagonally across the griddle in both directions with the nail brush. This gets anything out in the low places of the diamond texture. It is really very quick, and quite effective. I never have to use elbow grease. Even tough, cooked-on food comes off easily. MOST IMPORTANT: Do not EVER use nonstick spray with ceramic surfaces! It can't withstand the heat, and becomes a super sticky residue that is nearly impossible to get off. We discovered this with our regular ceramic-coated pots and pans. On ceramic surfaces, only use high temperature oils — we usually use butter on the griddle. This griddle doesn't need any oil at all on pancakes (or, obviously, bacon & sausage); for eggs, we use just a tad of butter and smear it onto the part of the griddle that we will be using for the eggs. And finally, we have found the drip tray to be more than large enough to hold all the grease that flows from six slices of bacon. I would definitely recommend this griddle with no hesitation.

You'll love this griddle so much you'll find reasons to use it!
If you're doing grilled sandwiches, french toast, bacon, omelettes, burgers, etc, in a frying pan, you're missing out. This griddle is so good at all of that. Does a great job heating and cooking evenly across the surface, which is ample (I do 8 slices of French toast at one time). The thermostat control is reliably accurate. A far more energy efficient way of doing this kind of cooking, if your carbon footprint is a concern. The cook surface is ceramic and is truly non- stick. You'll have to use non-metallic cooking utensils to protect the surface, so be sure to plan ahead for that. I went with a Farberware Professional Nylon Spatula set and Tongs. Farberware Professional Stainless Steel Locking Tongs, 11-Inch, Black https://a.co/d/b1foHiv Cleaning is a breeze. The single press clips on the removable legs are a fantastic idea both for cleaning and storage. When it's time to store it, it's 1.5" at its thickest point. If you follow the temperature guidelines, the heating element will not destroy the appearance of the surface. I have used mine at least twice per week regularly since buying it a half year ago and the surface is still relatively pristine. With only a very slight discoloration. I can't recommend this griddle highly enough!

Actually is non-stick
Bought this after observing a friend's. It actually is non-stick as advertised. I was amazed. Flipping pancakes, for example, was so much easier because the spatula could slide so easily under the pancake. Takes almost no cleanup effort. Love the large surface. It heats pretty evenly. I expect this surface to last a lot longer that the old teflon non-stick surfaces and be healthier/not release microplastics.

Overall Quality and Performace. Needs More Heat
I think this is a good griddle for the price. It's easy to set up (the legs attach and remove easily for use and storage). I'm not too sure about their decision to texturize the surface, but it seems okay. I cooked an egg without any oil to see how well the non-stick surface performed. The tiny bit of residue from the egg wiped right off. I would recommend using a smear of veggie oil, however, when cooking eggs. I next cooked two hamburger patties with tolerable success. I like a good sear on my burgers, and I struggled to achieve this. I will say that I started at a lower temp (300 degrees) just to be safe. After several minutes on one side, the meat was still gray. I cranked it up to 350 and still barely got any color on that side. So I topped it off at the max 400 (or whatever it is), and finally got a little char around the edges only. I flipped the patties over and managed a slight bit of color on the other side. In the end, I won't use this for burgers or fajita meat. I'll stick with my cast iron pan on my induction burner for that. But this griddle will certainly function as a breakfast champion for cooking several pancakes and hashbrowns at the same time. I hightly recommend this griddle for breakfasts or other things that don't require a serious sear. My only other complaint (which is just with grease-splattering meats) is that the lack of higher sides results in grease flying everywhere. So be prepared for some serious counter cleaning if you use it to cook greasy meats. Be sure to move EVERYTHING out of the way for a good foot around, because the grease goes all over the place.
