This $6 piece of foam legitimately saved my voice-over career
I do audiobook narration from my tiny home office and my AT2020 was driving me insane with every “p” and “b” sounding like a gunshot, even with a pop filter. I’d already spent a fortune on room treatment and kept blaming myself for bad technique until I finally caved and bought this Mudder windscreen on a whim because it was literally six bucks. Slid it on and the difference was ridiculous — those harsh plosives just vanished, breath noise dropped dramatically, and my recordings suddenly sounded like I was in a proper studio booth. The foam is thick enough to actually work but not so bulky that it muffles the high end; my voice still sounds crisp and natural, just without the explosions. It fits the AT2020 perfectly (snug but not impossible to get on/off) and hasn’t stretched out or sagged at all. Eight months of daily use later and it still looks almost new even though I’ve washed it three times (just warm water and a tiny bit of dish soap, air dry overnight). No crumbling, no weird smell, no discoloration. I ended up buying three more to keep in my travel bag because I never want to record without one again. My clients have noticed too — fewer retakes, faster approvals, and one producer actually asked what I changed because the files have been “noticeably cleaner lately.” For the price of a coffee this thing transformed my audio quality more than any $200 gadget I’ve bought. If you’re on the fence, just get it. Seriously.

Great quality cover
Great microphone cover! It cuts the sound of the heater or AC running across my microphone that can create sound. doesn't muffle the sound output at all. Nice and sturdy and great quality, fits snugly to my microphone.

It's a $7 piece of foam that gets the job done...nothing more or less.
Recently I had purchased a Blue Yeti Microphone for my gaming setup and wanted to purchase a foam condenser for it! It arrived in a small plastic bag and I was instructed to let it air out for a bit, then to put over the microphone. Time goes by, and after a few weeks of use, I noticed things that I have compiled below (TLDR at the end)! PRO's - Sound quality is somewhat nicer...this product almost acts like a pop filter so it can help prevent the extra noises that we all make while in normal conversation that may not be noticeable to each other, but are noticeable in recording. - Catches extra moisture, resulting in me worrying about the quality and durability of the microphone less. (No, I don't slobber all over the microphone, haha, but I would say we all accidentally have those times (and even in normal conversation really) where we spit out a bit too much saliva on accident and resulting in a bit of a messy keyboard/microphone, so it's nice to know it will just be absorbed by the foam which I can clean out instead of the microphone itself (which may cause slight damage over time) - The color of the foam actually matches pretty well to the microphone itself...(that is if you have a blackout edition)...but regardless the color of the foam looks like a solid black. MIDDLE GROUND (Not awful but not great) - Packaging is honestly kind of cheap...I understand that it fits in a sealed small Ziploc bag and expands after you take it out, but also am unsure if this is the best way to package this (i.e. small cardboard box instead. Maybe not though, regardless of something I took note of. - Price. This thing is a good $7 which isn't in itself awful but it is a piece of foam. I found some cheaper ones on eBay for $2.50 but YMMV. This may be your best bet, to be honest, I didn't do that many comparisons as it wasn't a huge dealbreaker for me. - I am worried about the durability of the material to be honest, as I've seen in past reviews that (this product) used to be of better quality than it is now, leading to some customers deciding to purchase this product from different companies in the future. So far it's holding up OK though. CON's - Surprisingly I couldn't really find any specific CON's for this product, but then again I've only had it for a couple of weeks and use my microphone sparingly. Expect updates to this review (and potentially this category) as time goes on. TLDR: Overall this foam microphone cover works just fine, Nothing bad sticks out but may over time...or may not, we will have to see. Can recommend it for those casual users but serious users may want to do more comparisons. Thanks for reading!

Easy to clean
Used this for about 2 years on my blue yeti mic, absolutely perfect. Slid on and off super easy, didn't turn into a fine powder after i washed it. And the price made it a no brainer. Great at helping reduce loud spikes in audio from the air going into the mic.

Works for me.
Now I'm not a "professional" who knows what a high quality pop filter looks like. This is the first time I have ever bought one and I'm just getting started with getting into video editing and recording, so I would imagine if you were looking for high quality, my opinion might not be the best one... But, that being said, what I got in the mail was fairly strait forward. No rips or tears or anything. I wouldn't know what a high quality pop filter would feel like but this feels fine to me. It fit my blue yeti just fine and for what I need it for, it does the trick. For the price, this is totally fine, and my audio sounds great to me. I might want to get something better at a later date when I actually know more specifically what I am looking for, but if your someone like me who is just trying to get started I don't see why this wouldn't work for you.
