Before buying this, my daughter had just a regular ole bath mat. It claimed to be mold-resistant (obviously, you still need to clean it and let it air dry after every use) but it still grew mold underneath the suction cups and the "non-porous" material is was made out of, actually increased the mold production. On top of that, we had just moved and so my daughter wound up with only a shower, not a bath, so I figured it wouldn't be as harmful to use this in there until I could get a better one. We only tried it out once and then had to throw it away because even though it had holes in the mat, it covered the majority of the drain and wound up flooding the standing shower. Well, we can't have that now can we. lol Luckily, I found this almost immediately! The giant holes in it are what got my attention first, then the material, and how big it was. I was sold. It hasn't grown mold, it's heavy and durable, also slip-resistant, nd it allows the water to flow through to the drain easily. My daughter also sits on it and it is very comfortable. Although it took a bit to get here, this item has done well.I accidentally ordered the pink one but it's just a bath mat so no harm, no foul. Oops on my part. Anyhow, this item is made from pretty cushy plastic that doesn't hurt your feet when your in the shower. It also helps you not fall, which is the main concern in most showers I would think. You definitely have some more grip than usual with this mat. I really like that it does have the holes in it, it adds additional traction and it helps it dry off after the shower is done. This helps decrease the mildew that can grow if it's kept soaked. So one more good thing about this shower mat. You want to purchase this non-slip bath mat, but not for the bathtub. Think outside the box for a minute.Do you have laminate floors? Or some type of surface that is slippery when it gets damp?That is what this mat is for! It has hundreds of little suction cups that adhere to a smooth surface. But that smooth surface doesn't have to be the bathtub... it can be just inside the back door when it is raining, or by the laundry room when there are clothes that are drip drying. It can be outside on a patio when the morning condensation makes stepping outside dangerous. It can be in a garage where the concrete floor "sweats" due to improperly sealed foundation.I know that the colors aren't the best choices, but if that bothers you a lot you can spray paint it with a plastic-approved paint.Seller’s Feedback: I highly recommend this seller.
