I trust JB Weld
My wife's car got a crack in the exhaust pipe which also has the front catalytic converter. I did not want to replace it just now, but I also did not want to the pipe to drop if the crack spread. This product wraps around the pipe and will provide supports to about six inches of the pipe. It cures well and seems extremely strong. It is easy to install, just wrap it around. It is good and sticky, has enough length for a few wraps of the pipe, and is certainly a cost effective temporary repair compared to running into the muffler shop. I've had this on her car for a couple of weeks and there is no leakage.

Works great
It sealed the snap in my exhaust and was easy to use you just unroll and wrap

It was hard to apply, but it does seal well.
Better than tigerpatch, higher temp rated. But much much harder to install. Get dishwashing gloves because the ones they provide don't have long enough sleeves and you will get some of this toxic stuff on your wrists. I was having to wrap this in a very tight space, and it was very difficult. I'm pretty dexterous but it was tough. A lot tougher than you'd imagine. It likes to unravel and then fall into a dusty spot... not great. I used some of the extra goo in the pack to put around it, seems like the wetter the better. I ran the motor for 20 mins and it sealed completely. We will see how long this lasts. I'll update when it comes off and what mileage I got. But I have to say, this was very difficult to apply. -First small edit: I've had this installed for a week so far, and I've really been driving it around like a dog- lots of WOT up to 6-8k rpm. The patch is holding. I think if it held through this type of abuse, that it's going to last a while. If or when it comes loose, I'll try to order another one and be more careful this time when applying. I just cant afford exhaust work right now, and this is helping keep the fumes out of the cab. Quite literally a life-saver, with that being considered, I guess. -Second edit; Ok it's been about 500 miles now and it's still holding good, so I'm gonna call it good for what it is. If it hasn't come off yet, then I don't know when or if it will come off, but it's a good somewhat long-term option compared to the other products that don't last as long. -Last edit: It has been around 1000 miles since I put this on, with a mix of highway and city driving. Sometimes flooring it, wide-open-throttle, red-lining, etc. Not racing around, but a decent amount of 'spirited driving'. Guys (and Gals), I'm going to call this good. If it has lasted this long even with my shoddy application, then it's simply a good product. Will buy you time and all that. I'll eventually get the exhaust fixed properly. I appreciate that this was a cheap patch-fix (literal) type of product, and compared to the other one I've tried "TigerPatch", this is a night and day difference. Good job and hats off to JB Weld for making good quality products that are durable and last a long time.

Worked well in use, easy to apply. .
So what if it is a little messy...it should be so plenty of material for the cloth tape. They give a set of gloves for the hands and spread a little paper under your work and not a problem! This was my second purchase of this product for a hacked together exhaust for my portable generator to get the exhaust [ported out of the garage. Fist kit used and I let it set and it cured at Washington State ambient summer temperature. Last week there was a power failure and i finally used my get and the kit/patch held up just fine, though the aluminum tape came right off with the heat the wrap did not. But the pipe blew off in another spot so my second kit is to secure that splice. This time I used a heat gun to cure the wrap and did not bother with the aluminum tape. The wrap cured very quickly with the heat gun, it is not summer anymore so the extra heat was a good idea. Looking forward to the next power failure, I think I have it nailed! Great product J-B Weld!

I only got about 42-44 inches. Ran out of wrap with only getting two wraps over the hole!
My husband ran out of wrap before even getting two wraps over the hole. It takes 6.29 inches to go around a 2 inch pipe. They say to start 2-4 inches before the break/hole and that takes 3 wraps minimum because it is only 2 inches wide, plus you are supposed to overlap it. I only got 2 wraps over my hole and thay say 5 wraps minimum. The aluminum tape is a joke. It will not stick to the slimy/slippery wrap. Ben had to use aluminum electrical fence wire. Now I have to buy another kit and spend double the time! Forty plus years ago, my husband was wrapping exhaust with fiberglass tape with standard resin and it did better than this. JB Weld has performed well for me and my husband using their cold weld product, which has been fantastic. I expected more from this product. I HAD rated it one start but after a call with JB Weld, I raised to the 3 stars because it works good AND they said they would send another package for FREE!

A Mess, But Seems Good
I trust the brand, and I've had exhaust repair wrap fail before, so I went with JB Weld. Most repair tape is slightly sticky and has resin that melts and then cures in place. This stuff is fiberglass roving (cloth) that's in a packet of premixed wet epoxy. It's slippery and goopy. It's messy and a little tricky, especially if you don't have a lot of clearance. That said, the wrap is pretty forgiving, so you don't have to be perfect with it. The lightweight nitrile gloves included will probably tear, and I recommend having your own better-weight disposable gloves already. Don't work with your face below the pipe, because you may drip epoxy. Wear workclothes accordingly, and clean off any epoxy that gets on your skin. The pack includes aluminum tape to hold the wrap in place while it cures. I didn't use that -- I used stainless steel zip ties -- so I don't know how well the tape works, but it's probably OK. The epoxy takes a couple of hours to dry unless you sit there with the engine idling to keep the exhaust pipe hot. It seems secure when it's dry. This stuff is rated for higher temperatures than most repair wraps, which is definitely promising.

only few days is just crack

I tried the paste before this and it just cracked, this has stayed in one piece. It works great. Not much to say really. It cures on its own in a couple of hours or you can start the car and cure it quicker with the heat. I let mine sit overnight rather than rush it. Maybe that helps.

Very good product but sadly the repair didn't last as the hole was to big.

This kit is a lifesaver for DIY exhaust repairs. I used it to seal a small leak on my tailpipe, and the results have been fantastic. The high-temperature fiberglass wrap is easy to apply—you just dip it in water and wrap it tightly around the damaged area. Once it cures with the heat of the engine, it hardens into a rock-solid, permanent cast that can withstand temperatures up to 1100°F. It completely stopped the loud exhaust noise and prevented further leaking. It’s a much more affordable and effective alternative to replacing the entire pipe. Highly recommended for any quick and durable exhaust fix!
