Make no mistake, this TINY charger is superior to any other conveniently portable single-cell charger that you will likely ever find. In every respect. It charges to exactly 4.2v on li/ions, which cells are what (presently) best power our quality lighting instruments. Etc. That is why I will always have one of these Klarus K1 chargers within reach.That is no joke, either. Without light, when you truly need it, LIGHT, you are in serious -- & very possibly -- perilous trouble ! Few have ever actually known such peril. You do not want to be one of them.Small, portable solar-chargeable panels, or "solar power-banks," the kind that you CAN carry conveniently, and normal power-banks, too... will operate this little charger with full efficiency. This K1 stands alone. In my experience.I have over 46 years experience with lighting instruments, of all types &... "currently" existing battery types. I say to all readers here that I find it difficult to believe that a better such charger will ever be produced. Get two, at least.

That charger seems to charge good batteries fine. It says it determines the correct mode automatically but I didn't see that. The instructions are very brief and not very clear in terms of what setting to use with what type of battery. My biggest issue is that I read somewhere that this charger would "wake up" an 18650 battery that may have lost all of its charge and had gotten to "sleep". Some 18650 batteries (like the ones we use for vaping) have a protection mechanism called the CID that basically locks the cell into a no-charge state if it loses all of its charge. Unfortunately I left four perfectly good 18650 batteries in a charger but the charger was unplugged. The charge then slowly trickled out of the batteries and once I realized this it was too late. I was hoping this charger would jolt them back to life. It didn't do that at all. Waste of 12 dollars I guess.

I have a DP12 with the Works II package installed. It has a light on it that uses the 18650 battery. I went to use the light but it was dead. Not wanting to rush out and buy a new battery, I got this charger instead. Its nice because it actually detects the voltage and then lets you know when its done charging. It seems fairly cheaply built, but it did do the job. The battery I have was a Klarus branded battery, but I'm sure it will work for others.

Will not charge my Klarus 18650 battery that is a flat top on each end. Tried different positions and would not work. It does work on other batteries with the raised positive end.

Great little universal battery charger, charges various types and sized batteries. Great for charging single batteries quickly or slowly, .5A or 1A charge rate selectable.

Working Good so far!!! I’m using this to charge my Klurus XT11GT because it stoped charging through the port on the flashlight.

Charger is easy to use for all 18650 batteries.
