This is a convenient way to temp your products. After about 5 years my first one seperated at the probe so I bought a second. The only drawback I had was that if you put it into a small pyrex to temp water(yeast etc) they turn over and you cannot read the actual temp till you turn them over again (curved angle of top and probe). Still a great product at a reasonable price.

This thermometer works great. I was looking for one to help me with making caramels and candies and getting an accurate read. The reading was accurate and quick. I had no problems cleaning it afterward. Great value for what I am using it for.

I was looking for a digital thermometer that worked for candy making and found this. It works really well for candy making and it’s pretty accurate. I can easily see the screen as the temperature changes. I hope it lasts a long time because I absolutely despise the old school candy thermometers.

Purchased two of these thermometers about a month ago, after using each a couple of times, both have stoped working. I have not tried new batteries yet, hopefuly that will solve the problem. Next time, maybe I will go old school when looking for a meat thermometer and get one that doesn't require batteries.
