Does not play nicely with just any memory...
It has great features, for a server motherboard the only thing that's missing is a dual 10GB NIC. The biggest drawback for this motherboard is that it has to be the most pickiest motherboard for RAM! I tried Crucial, Kingston, Hynix, Skhynix.... and I still receive the code 53 and three beeps!I have never been able to reach it's Bios since I bought this mother%@#*board. I was finally able to find RAM with the approved manufacturing number. Will update after I receive it.Close doesn't count for this motherboard even the 2 x 8gb DDR4 2400mHz ECC Hynix which was a Supermicro. Switch them around, place them even in single slot code 53 (incompatible memory). This is the pickiest motherboard I have ever owned.Update: Running 32GB’s of Hynix ECC Ram (8GB x 4) unfortunately I can’t get the higher clock speed because I’m running a Xeon V5 CPU instead of the V6 which supports the higher clock speed of 2400Mhz. Booting off of a Supermicros SATA DOM 16GB in FreeNAS,Caching with a Samsung E960 NvMe m.2 to six 4TB HSGT hard drives.Runs Plex without any major problems so far. Now if I could only load Nextcloud, I’d be a happy clam!

It works great. I will give 4 stars instead of 5 stars because the IPMI console still relies on old java to work. I hope at some point they release an update that works with HTML5, as they have with some of their other boards.

Bios from 2015
Not compatible with newer Xeon's requires a compatible CPU to flash the bios and use newer Xeons
