Pre-moisten to prevent slipping. But still smells like Neoprene.
This Flexibrace thigh wrap works well but still smells like Neoprene after several months of wearing over a two year period. (Bought Sept., 2015.)I have a recurring hamstring problem when running or biking, so I just wear it as needed. Sometimes a compression wrap can enable participation otherwise lost. The way I get it to not slip is to dampen the inside surface with water before putting it on. (And/or splash or spray a little water on your leg before applying.) I see several reviews that assert that slipping is caused by sweating. I don't see why those reviewers think that, but I assure you that my experience has been otherwise. And that's true not only for THIS gear but also for other similar situations, e.g., heart rate monitor chest strap that tends to slide down in back, Cramer groin strain spica, McDavid thigh wrap, etc.The Velcro fasteners still work well after considerable use. The wrap gets pretty sweaty during a run or bike ride, but usually doesn't slip, once moistened and applied snugly. I probably should wash it more often but I usually just let it air dry after wearing. The fabric binding around the edges tends to smell soured if you don't wash it timely. If this happens, hand wash with dish soap and a little baking soda, or machine wash. I don't put it in the washer because of the Velcro, but it probably would be OK if you set the straps to avoid snagging other clothes. Now I'm looking for a wrap like this that doesn't smell like Neoprene. I have a smaller McDavid wrap that seems like similar rubbery material; it doesn't smell, but it's too short for my use, so I'm still looking.BTW the Amazon page says 10" height. Mine measures 9".

The brace provides good support (the Velcro straps are so strong could probably secure cargo on a shipping vessel). The only issue is that wearing this brace makes your leg sweat so badly that it completely soaks the brace even in mild weather. It's a huge deterrent for me not to wear the brace unless I absolutely need to. It's also a little too long for me (I'm 6'0") and wish it was a few inches shorter. Good product with some reservations.

Great support
The best thigh brace I have found. I am forced to wear a brace daily and have tried a number of brands. Some worked well for a short time before the velcro lost its grip and I would have to adjust several times a day. This velcro is so strong it is a chore to remove, which is a good thing. It has not slipped a single time. I had purchased an identical wrap a long time ago and it worked great but I lost it in a move. I just found it and it holds as good as new so I have 2 that I can change out.

Leg Spasms
I have had severe leg spasms after my total knee replacement. My massage therapist suggested to wrap my thighs with elastic wraps. I did & it helped. It seemed I had to rewrap a lot. I saw these which I thought would work. Sure enough they did. Just wrap snugly and wear. If they are too loose or too tight, they are easily adjusted. Just wrap a couple of inches above the knee. It pressed on the trigger pint in you thigh to help relieve the pain & spasms.

Measure carefully and investigate options
I was really hoping this would work. Unfortunately, I had problems with the brace slipping down my leg when I walked. About the only way to prevent it or slow it down was to first tape my thigh with the kind of tape they wrap around your elbow after you give blood.Using this on the outside of my pants was even worse for slipping. The only way I can think this brace would work nicely would be if your thigh had little to no taper from top to bottom.I'm now on my 3rd product and to be honest, it's not much better.

Disappointing when vertical
Disappointing. I had high hopes for this to help with a calf injury that didn't require complete bed rest . The brace seemed well made and the velcro grip seemed sturdy. However, no matter what I tried, the brace would quickly slide down to my knee after taking just a few steps. It was only usable when I was kept my leg propped up and immobile. I would recommend this brace if your situation doesn't require movement of the leg.

If you sweat, this slips.
I am very active and have been experiencing some knee pain. I decided to give this brace a shot. As soon as I started to sweat, this slipped down my leg and was not effective. If you just need some added support throughout the day, than this may work. However, if you are wearing this for anything active, there are better options.
