These work as advertised. I'm using them to connect the pump in the catch basin for my French drain. So far no problems. Easy to use if you have at least half a brain. Keep in mind this is not for large wire. I believe the largest wire it can accommodate is 14 or 16 ga.

Each piece has 9 pieces to them. Very easy to use. Once you screw down the ends, they tighten onto the wire and make a good seal. I used solder for the braided wires of my extension cord to make it easier to fit into holes. Each hole has a screw for each wire to tighten down onto. Very good design. Just have to take your time and it will have a long lasting connection and no worries about rain or snow.

As per other reviews this is not ideal for all cables sizes/shapes. It would be ideal if a Romex underground feeder/rectangular style hole was offered. With a bit of force and electrical tape you can make this work with 14 AWG/Gauge outdoor wire (rectangular shaped/Rome stylex) but the circular hole and design of this product made it fairly challenging to feed the cable through these parts and still get a proper seal (electrical tape required). I used this for an underground lamp post connection and it did the job. I'd also recommend securing half of this to the readily accessible/new wire first. Another tip: the center splice cylinder with the screws has a plastic top that can pop off easily if the metal pieces are not aligned or have too much pull on them. You only need about 1/4" of exposed wire to make the connection that the set screws bite down on, and you can cut the Romex insulation back about an 3/4" - 7/8", but avoid going more than half of this product's length to ensure your wiring is fully enclosed in this part. Not the perfect product for my application, but glad it was available to get me out of a jam.
