I don't want to be a private investigator, but sometimes I do want to know how to learn a few things that which investigators know. This book will help anyone who believes they want to be a P.I.. It's a great tool, you will understand all they must learn and do to become one. My daughter uses this book as a constant guide for researching people she believes are identity thieves, she says that this book has helped her find ways to uncover a lot of information.

Very informative as to the requirements of investigation. Very easy and quick read but at the same time balanced with good examples and references.

The Everything Private Investigation book is a basic introduction to the field of Private Investigations, covering fields such as skip tracing through to Interviewing suspect. It should however be noted, that this book is only an introduction to the various fields available to Private Investigators and not a comprehensive training manual. One of the main drawbacks to this book is that the writer continually refers to the reader as she, which is slightly irritating. However this book is extremely comprehensive, referring to other sources of information and website which can greatly assist both P.I.'s and amateurs alike. All I can say is that this is one exceptional book and I recommend it to everyone.

A Great book for getting introduced to this field. Made me branch out and study all kinds of other spectrums of the P.I. field because it uncovers many different things. Information listed is above and beyond.

It wasn’t I hope for, but it did give me some information that was useful. Seems to be a little outdated as far as format.

I am not finished reading it yet, but so far the book is everything it promises. I am thoroughly enjoying reading it.

Excelent for the beginner , loads of info and easy to read with plenty of refrence material great a must have.

I was not opening a PI firm but wanting to know how to do background checks and especially internet searches on people so when I ordered this book I knew chapters would not apply to me. However, there table of contents indicated the items I wanted were covered in the book. When I got it the items gave general comments but no details. It was sort of like a kid in school fudging on a book report when they have not read the book. Example it talks that there are databases but does not give names or examples. I assume that is because the author wants to keep the ones she uses to herself. However, she should not have implied it was covered in the table of contents. Now if she had called the book everything you need to know to start a private investigation firm she would have gotten the correct audience. However, the title is misleading. I read a lot of books on various things and have ordered lots from amazon. However, this was the first book I ever returned because I felt it implied something it was not.
