LUCID 4 Inch Ventilated Memory Foam Mattress Topper - 3-Year Warranty - Cal King

This mattress topper is very comfortable and you sink in, which feels good on my hips as I've been waking up with a sore hip for months. It doesn't seem to e helping my chronic lower back issue, but my hips feel better when I get up.The only issues so far are doing "adult activities", getting out of the bed after a few hours because of the sinking in, and it seems to collect the body heat because I'm sweating every morning despite the AC being on. This topper is not ventilated well for drawing body heat away, but these are small prices to pay for a better sleep.

Ok, so this is the very reason why these amazon reviews are so powerful! Just like everyone else I was reading and considering this mattress even if there were cons to this item. But over and over again, review after review states that once you air out and do certain things, it is OK! So thanks to the reviews, I got a super product AND Amazon made money off of me in addition to me not being able to wait to write up this review! HAHA. Meanwhile, the first night that I slept in it... my back pain was gone and I overslept (was late to work!) Crazy!Once you receive the item, you have to find a location that you will be able to air out, for a long period. If you know you are shifting it elsewhere or plan to move around after you open up the package, DON'T even bother. It is really hard to lug around and you do not want to dirty this mattress at all. So it is suggested to find a long-term spot for this big beluga and will go right before you start using it. Unpacking this monster was alright but thinking of returning or packing it back up- GOOD LUCk! This is like impossible to to fit into the box and I did not even try. The box that it came shipped in, is so tiny. Further, there were like box after box after box that it came in! Hahaha So it's like you have to not only save all your boxes but you have to squish it all back into the box, gosh.The chemical smell is true but the quality of the mattress is worth it. You just air out for weeks. Depends on the type of ventilation you have in the area that you plan to air this mattress in. I took longer because I wanted to be extra sure that it was well-aired out. At the same time, because it was exposed, dust tends to stick. So the fix for that is... I used a lint roller.. Taaah daaah! Upon being ready for the placement on top of the mattress, i rolled this baby (used plenty of roller sheets) until the roller was clean!You have to get a deep pocket bedsheet. So I had to prepare ALL that before I used the mattress just so that I am ready. But here's the thing. To preserve your original mattress, try to keep a regular bedsheet on your original bottom mattress. After you place the foam mattress on top, you add a layer of (not fitted) bedsheet as a protection or you can get those mattress protectors (if it comes in deep pockets) so that EVERYTHING Is exposed. Then you use the deep pockets to cover everything from top to bottom. This is also to prevent bedbugs from living in either the foam or your original mattress, too.The reason for these 'protective' inside layers is that this foam material keeps your body really warm, almost to a point of sweating in various cases. (Thank goodness I did my research in advance). So the foam tends to turn brown for those who do not have extra in-between sheets to prevent the browning of the mattress. Therefore, to continue to keep the mattress in good condition, the sheets will be of good help. You will just have to wash the sheets in between from time to time and then of course, the usual top bedsheet layer. During the times you do wash the bedsheets, try to give it some time for the mattress to air out and breathe a little too. For the dust that can possibly get on the surface, just use the lint roller! Yay!I do not think it's recommended to use a damp cloth to wipe down.. but if you do (let's say you had an accidental stain), you must must must dry it out before using it to avoid mold or other bacteria from growing.And after you try to use a damp to dry cloth with water, use those hand sanitizers purell (minimally) to spot your stain and let that dry out too. Just spot it with a cloth, do not pour a dollop onto the mattress directly. This is also to minimize on the bacteria (depending on the type of stain).Oh, it is not recommended to let any kids jump on top of this. There is no bounce anyways but you don't want this mattress to "lose its memory" capabilities either haha. (although that is not proven, you do want to maintain the longevity of this product, right?) Although they say it is foam, it is more like a sponge... who knows how much beating up it can take? But if you spent so much, why even bother trying to find out?In the end, instead of spending a gazillion dollars on a brand NEW mattress, this is a really affordable quick fix to the issue. Yippee!

Here we go! Writing a long one in case it can help anyone else, since I spent way too long researching this stuff.I have a 2 year old Queen Simmons BeautyRest Recharge Mattress that (another long story made short) is Extra Firm. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Mattress would be a 9.5 or 10, with 10 being the firmest. So we got a plush comforter style Mattress topper which worked for a while, but eventually I ruined it by washing and drying it wrong. This begins my search for a new topper.First attempt was a 3" NovaForm Gel Memory Foam topper from Costco. Very comfortable and cool. I loved laying on it. It was about a 6.5/10 and felt just right. Except the itching. I had some kind of allergic reaction which apparently only 1 other person in the world had, itching and hot prickly feelings on my arms and feet. Even though it didn't affect my wife, I still tried to find another source of this feeling since I liked the memory foam feel so much. Eventually I couldnt handle it anymore and returned it. I then returned to the search again, but I still wanted a memory foam topper or now, even a new memory foam bed.I convinced myself to get a new bed, trying to decide between a GhostBed, Tuft and Needle or a Leesa. But my bed was only 2 years old, so spending 700+ seemed a bit crazy this early. I took to amazon and found this 2" Lucid topper. I almost got the charcoal bamboo topper, but figured I'd give this one a shot. After I ordered it, I started reading reviews about the smell, and how bad it is, how its unbearable, etc. I tried to cancel my order but it was too late, it shipped.THE SMELL: Don't Worry.I braced for the worst when it came. Opened the package, let it sit out for 24 hours in an open room with the window wide open. Maybe it was because I was expecting the worst, but it really wasn't that bad. Sure there was a smell, but it faded fast. Preemptively I sprayed a little febreeze on it about 12 hours in, which may have helped too.I put it on after the 24 hours of airing out, no smell. My sense of smell isnt great, but my wife is very smell-sensitive. It didn't bother her at all, which was the big test. I'd recommend that if it still smells, don't put it on your bed and cover it up. Wait for it to gas off, spray some febreeze on it, don't be impatient. You're gonna be laying on this a while, so whats a few days? But again, mine only took 24 hours. Putting a fan on it might help.HEAT: It's not that bad.Overall, it's pretty comfortable. Revived my mattress for a low price. I sleep very hot in general, and this hasn't been a problem for me either. Not as cool as topper-less or the gel, but I dont wake up hot or sweaty either.I'm going to give this 5 stars but I do have some critques.It doesn't look like the picture. It's a good product and works, but astetchically, it looks like cheap yellow foam. But in all honesty, do you really care what it looks like when you're going to cover it up?FIRMNESS:Firmness-wise, it is still firmed than i'd like. I'd say it lowered my 9.5/10 bed to a 8/10. Much better improvement, but I'd like a 6 or 7. Again, i'm giving this a 5 because that is purely personal preference and might be fine for you. I also like that i don't "sink" in it deep, but it does let me conform.OTHER:I've had lower back issues in the past. I don't wake up sore with this one, like I had been when i temporarily had no topper. So that's a plus. I'm not a doctor though. I'm also using the WEEKENDER Fitted Jersey Mattress Protector with Noiseless Waterproof Barrier for reference. Seems a good combo.END:Overall, good product for a good price. You might want a plushier one, but this will help you get more milage from your bed.5 Month update- Still enjoying it and keeping a 5/5 rating!

Excelente producto de verdad muy recomendable en todos los sentidos se siente muy bien, la calidad se ve muy muy buena yo estaba pensando comprar el de 4 pulgadas pero que bueno que no lo hice este de 2 pulgadas osea 5 centimetros esta excelente es mas suave de lo que me gustaria pero es de gustos mi mujer esta facinada habiamos comprado un colchon y estaba demasiado duro parecia que haciamos el amor en el suelo (pequeña broma ) jajajaja y con este quedo excelente de verdad lo recomiendo mucho, espero sea util mi comentario suerte y a disfrutar de un buen sueño ;)

Después de revisar los comentarios sobre esta colchoneta, lo pedí y quede asombrado con lo confortable que es y lo bien que se duerme sobre ella. Solo es recomendable ponerla arriba del protector de colchón y antes de la sabana de cajón, ya que al ponerlo debajo del protector de colchón, limita su función y no brinda la comodidad que debiera ya que el protector no permite se suma bien. Solo estando únicamente debajo de la sabana de cajón, proporciona la comodidad que se espera de la memory foam.

I previously purchased a more expensive mattress topper from a different brand (It was only 1.5" thick, and from day 1 I knew I had wasted my money - it did nothing to improve the comfort of my bed. I also suffer from lower pack pain and part of the reason for purchasing was to hopefully improve the stiffness and muscle spasm I can have throughout the night and in the mornings.This one is PERFECT. Its seriously so comfortable. Its thick and squishy and its like I've got a whole new mattress. You sink in, yet are still perfectly supported, Its still too early to see if it will help with my lower back pain, but so far I haven't had any pain or spasms. It's even better than the full memory foam mattress I have at my vacation home.I'm so happy with this purchase!One additional thing I love, is the corners of this topper are perfectly square - so bed sheets fit perfectly with no saggy corners.

La verdad que el haber adquirido este producto fue de emergencia, ya que mi mamá venía a visitarnos, tenemos una cama individual que parece que los picapiedras la hicieron y la verdad mi mamá es muy delicada, no le gusta dormir en camas duras, por lo que estuve buscando opciones en los supermercados de la ciudad sin embargo, sólo encontré protectores de colchones y no de buena calidad, y así fue como llegué a este producto, leí los comentarios y lo compré, y en menos de dos días ya lo tenía en mis manos por el servicio de Prime, está super cómodo y lo padre es que si luego lo quieres guardar es fácil de maniobrar a pesar de su tamaño.

Love the new memory foam! My 3rd one (bought other brands before). Very good for my back after herniated disc. Much more comfortable than my mattress alone. Absolutely no chemical smell, and seems to be very good quality. Not noticing any difference with body temp , not too cool or too hot. My husband also finds it comfortable. The queen size fits my bed perfectly . The 3 inch height also accurate. Took less than an hour to inflate to regular size once out of the box.
