Does exactly what it says. You can shred more if you have all the paper ready to go, so it stopping after 3mins isn’t too much of a big deal. My only improvement would be that it has something to tell you when the bins nearly full, rather then you having to lift it up every time to check, but that’s a minor. It’s good

Our aurora shredder just stopped working one day and needed replacing. In the amazon search it brought quite a few of the amazon basics brand. This one came up via looking at another amazon shredder but highlighted as a similar item. Couldn't believe it when it looked almost the same as my old branded one at a substantially less price. A bit of a no brainer. Like all shredders it is not whisper quite but nor is it mega loud. Waste bin a good size with window. I have used the bag the bin came in to make a liner inside for ease of emptying.This shredder cuts in Cross cut, but not tidy cross cut pieces as some of the expensive business use ones. I'd defy anyone to say they could read or piece together the bits as not cut small enough. It does not cut in long curly strands. Ideal cut paper for recycling in mice and hamster cages for free!Initially thought it was not working, before I realised that the on/off button which I thought was not working actually operated in the reverse of my old one. Always read the instructions even if you think you know it all. Good job I checked it and before i embarrassed myself returning it for no reason. Hopefully this amazon shredder will last as long as my old one did.

I have used many other branded cross cut shredders in the past at double the cost. This one is smaller but more manageable, the perfect size for my use. It cuts credit cards in the centre, a nice added bonus. It shreds better with a max sheets of 3 pages in one pass, it struggles a bit with 4 or more sheets of A4. I like the lip, so you can only enter the paper when it is flat, feeds through a bit smoother. The bin size is a bit smaller, I emptied it about every 20 minutes but it make emptying it easier, because there is less, so it doesn't fall out of the large black bin liner. I fitted 6 loads on one bin liner. I highly recommended buying the Swordfish shredder oil lubricant, I use it once before or after 1-2 hours use, made a real difference, it runs smoother, paper doesn't get jammed as much. I didn't use it, paper did jamm the rollers, I unplugged the mains connection and carefully used tweezers and a pokey tool to pull out the jammed paper that was stuck. Then the rollers started to work again. I was surprised to find it worked better than expected, with it being small, it's can be part of the furniture in a corner. Switched off but I can keep on top of the regular shredding of documents as and when needed, very happy with purchase, for £31 from Amazon, prime delivery, excellent service. Highly recommended.

It does what it needs to do, struggles with credit cards, but does the job. a little noisy but a sit is only used for a short time not really an issue.Good value for the price, so would recommend

I ordered this product to use in Singapore. The voltage is convertible so I do not need to buy additional step down converter. The noise level is lower than compared to other shredder. I like the size too. The delivery was faster than I expected. I appreciate it. Thank you!

I bought one of these for my Mum last year so had some idea of how good it was. We needed to shred quite a few old documents so I opted for the one that can do 7 - 8 sheets at a time. To be on the same side I did no more than 5 - 6 but it handles this without any problems so I managed to get through a lot quite quickly. It has a big paper bin so you can keep going without needing to empty it. It's not particularly noisy and still compact enough to fit into our small study without being bulky. Overall it does everything we need and for the price I'd say it's a great bit of kit.

Started using this as soon as I got it to catch up on paper disposal. Does the job well, only snag is it needs emptying often, but I knew that it was a small capacity shredder. Perfectly good enough for home use.

The only negative thing is it’s a wee bit heavy
