Natural Chambers Leather Balsam Conditioner (Unscented) 200ml, 6.7oz

I am not moved to write reviews generally, but this product does deserve an awesome review. I have a 15 year old aniline high end leather couch (light tan color) parts of which were bleached by the sun. Tried various products which were disappointing or disastrous. Chamber Balsam Conditioner not only restored the couch to its original color but also gave it a light sheen to match the original. Couch looks brand new. Below is a picture of the couch. The left is the after and the right is the before. The slight staining you see on the left is due to an old wine stain and my attempt to get it off.

The headline said it all. I bought this for my leather chair which doesn't need it yet. Tried it on my old leather dress gloves. Very fine. Appeared to darken the leather some, but too small a sample.

Liked it. Used it on a couch chair and ottoman.

Brilliant stuff. Just what I wanted, a clear conditioner that wouldn’t cover all the distress on my leather chair. It looks better than when it came from the shop. The balsam is easy to apply especially when left to get to room temperature. I used kitchen roll to apply in small circles turning regularly to remove the ground in dirt and you could instantly see an improvement in the condition of the leather. After applying and leaving for a few minutes it was buffed with a micro fibre cloth and it left a lovely sheen with no residue. It covered minor scuffs and scratches from the cats who climb over it to get to the window but still allowed the age to show through. It’s a great balsam at a reasonable price and the tub will be good for at least 6 or 7 applications on the chair. You can see in the pictures the improvement between one side and the other, before and after, there’s a shade change that’s beautiful in my opinion. Very pleased.

Stesa con le mani e poi lucidata con un panno. Sensazione gradevolissima e un delizioso profumo di lavanda. Lo ricomprerò sicuramente.

Nicht falsch verstehen, ich rieche gerne Lavendel. Aber diese Intensität hatte eine leicht betäubende Wirkung. Deshalb habe ich die Behandlung des Sofas in mehrere Etappen unterteilt. Bei dem Leder des Sofas handelt es sich um dunkelbraunes Dickleder - Piumone von Cierre - und damit um ein durchgefärbtes Anilin Leder. Ich habe das Leder zuerst mit einem feuchten Schwamm gereinigt. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich mit Zewa Tüchern den Balsam aufgetragen. Dabei muss man aufpassen, dass man nicht zu viel auf eine Stelle aufträgt, da hierdurch Flecken entstehen. Mit kreisenden Bewegungen lässt sich aber alles gut verteilen. Beim nächsten Mal werde ich aber ein weiches Tuch nehmen. Das Einreiben nimmt ein wenig Farbe ab. Das Tuch färbt sich ein. Das Leder glänzt danach, obwohl es eigentlich ein mattfarbenes Leder ist. Nach etwa 20 Minuten bin ich mit einem Mikrofasertuch darüber gegangen, wieder mit kreisenden Bewegungen. Die Flecken lassen sich abtragen und das Leder wird wieder matter. Kleine Kratzer werden unsichtbar. Aber auch das Tuch nimmt braune Farbe an. Am nächsten Morgen wirkte das Leder wie neu und geschmeidig. Die Behandlung scheint dem Leder gut getan zu haben. Der Balsam scheint komplett eingezogen zu sein. Der Lavendelgeruch ist noch present, aber nicht mehr so intensiv. Hier wäre weniger mehr. Trotzdem empfehle ich, 1-2 Tage zu warten, bis man das Sofa wieder nutzt. Oder man setzt sich auf ein Handtuch.
