Will 1 panel work for a doorway?

A regular single doorway, yes it will. And the panels are Well-made, beautiful & slip onto any style curtain rod.

Are these actual beads or just ribbon? How many do I need to fill a doorway?

ribbon. i used four for a normal doorway. be mindful the first two were as described, I then ordered another one to fill it in and it was 8 inches shorter than the first two, so then I ordered two more and they were just about an inch shorter than the first two so it worked. I ended up throwing out the third one I ordered. It was useless and not worth sending back.

I need to use in a doorway as a divider, but needs to be able to be walked through, can i do so easily and can it only be hung from a curtain rod?

I hung mine with a curtain rod and curtain rings. These are string material so easily to walk through

How many come in the package?

2...I have them on a 60 inch window which spreads them out completely...does not give coverage which was ok with me ...just added shimmer over wood blinds. (I did not wish to block the light but wanted something more than wood blinds
