Game changer
I bought this for my new ceramic tile flooring, which I put throughout the entire house. This baby is a game changer! No more stooping and sweating away as I push around my (quite wonderful) o’Cedar mop with the spinning bucket attachment. I reserve the o’Cedar mop system for my engineered wood floors now and it is terrific but requires a lot of elbow grease and back work. This steamer only needs water (distilled only) and a few fresh steamer mop heads and off I go. The steamer practically drives itself and I really don’t feel hot at all pushing it, even though the water gets steaming hot. Water receptacle could be bigger but ahhh, so what? Right when the water runs out, I always want to GENTLY remove the pads without burning myself (DO NOT TIP MACHINE UPSIDE DOWN! BURN HAZARD!) I check the pads to see if they’re really dirty and therefore need swapping out. I have a stack of extra mop pads handy and I swap out when they look really dirty. Then into the wash they all go (alone, with no other items), then I line dry them and put them away for the next time. My floors are softly glowing now and our feet and socks stay nice and clean! I’m saving on floor washing liquid. This uses NO cleaning products! Big win! Just distilled water and steam. I am delighted with this purchase and I find I am more than happy to steam my floors, whereas I always sort of dread mopping my engineered wood floors, which always ends in a sore, stiff back. This is a terrific cleaning machine. We are delighted with it. Enjoy!

So happy; easy to use!
Omgoodness!!! I LOVE this steam cleaner!!! I have two small dogs and wood look tile floors. Grout lines are a problem area to clean. This tool makes the job almost fun! Cord length is adequate, could be a bit longer, but might be too much to handle easily. Worth every penny of its price!!!

No More Professional Tile Cleaners & VOCs
I’ve used the Shark Steam & Scrub about one month. For its size and price, I am pleasantly surprised by well it cleans ceramic tile floors. For over 10 years I relied on professional tile and grout cleaners. The first company did an excellent job, but quality has declined over the years. My search for a tile and grout cleaner led me to steam cleaners. The shark was highly rated by a leading consumer magazine. If it cleaned my kitchen tile and grout that accumulates a greasy film most chemical tile cleaners cannot remove than cleaning high traffic area tiles should be simplicity itself. The Shark cleaned both. It took a little time and effort even on deep clean to clean the kitchen tile, but it has been 11 months since I had the area professionally cleaned. Now that the kitchen tile is clean, monthly clean should keep it looking like new. With steam cleaning there are no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Some tile cleaning services use high pressure to apply the cleaning solution filling the house with VOCs. They may not be toxic but filling the house with the fumes causes difficulty breathing until it settles out of the air. It took about an hour and six reservoirs of distilled water to clean about 1,000 square feet (93 sq meters) of tile. The unit produces steam in about 30 seconds. Cleaning time is about 15 minutes on Normal and 12 minutes on deep. Cleaning 1,000 square feet of tile used about a half-gallon (2L) of distilled water. I used clean pads with each water refill. If you haven’t had your floors professional cleaned the pads become soiled quickly and should be changed with each refill of water. I vacuumed the entire before steam cleaning. The photo shows how the pads looked after using a reservoir of water. Machine washing the pads removes the soil. I allowed them to air dry. My concern about the one-handed handle was unfounded. It is very comfortable and maneuvering the cleaner was effortless. Another concern is the life of this cleaner’s Velcro pad attachment. The pads can be replaced, but the Velcro on the machine cannot. For occasional home use, it may be a moot point. For the price, it is a fractional of the cost of professional cleaning and paid for itself after the first use. Unlike the minimum fees charge by professional tile cleaners, the Shark small and large areas as needed.

Powerful clean in a lightweight package
I live in Florida where tile floors are common. My whole first floor is tile. I had been mopping with a mop and bucket for years but decided to buy this steam mop to make my life easier. Money well spent. Two rotating heads scrub while steam cleans your floors. It's lightweight, lighter than a vacuum, and fairly easy to maneuver. Cord is decently long so you can keep working without too many stops. The heads are not too big so you can get into some tighter spaces, and the body is smallish so you can get under some furniture. Not very loud, much quieter than a vacuum. Things to be aware of: It produces steam, so mind your feet as you work, trust me it's hot! It only takes distilled water - you may be tempted to use tap water or add soap to the water but this will corrode the heating elements, don't do it. Make sure the scrub pads are put on centered or it wobbles as it runs. Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, cleans wonderfully. Scrub pads are soft so you can run it up against furniture or baseboards without damage. Pads are machine washable. Has lights on the front to help you see (tho they aren't very strong). Cons: Only takes distilled water. Heads are round, so it can't really clean corners. Reservoir is kind of small so if you're doing large spaces you have to refill it often (but it does come with a nice refill cup). Fully recommended. I think it would be especially useful to those with small kids (always playing on the floor!) and/or pets (dirty paws, anyone?).

WOW!
You know you're getting old when you get excited about cleaning equipment. This came yesterday, and I spent a great deal of the day today using it. I'll start at the beginning... Very easy to assemble. Just snap the handle into position. Use the little container to fill the reservoir on front. Takes about 1 ¹/² containers. Attach the "mops" by placing them next to each other on the floor and set the device down on them. I lightly pressed on the foot area on top of the scrubber to make sure they were in place. Plug it in and you will hear it start up. When you see the steam coming out, pull back on the handle, with your foot lightly holding the scrubbing part in place. Then select how much steam and scrubbing you want...1, 2 or 3. I went with 3 as we needed a deep clean. The mop does move a bit on its own, because those little scrubber pads are spinning so fast. It is very light weight and very easy to handle. I found if I just turned my wrist it would change direction the way I wanted it to. The pads got dirty, the floor got clean. No painful knees or wrists, no dirty water in buckets. This will get used a lot at this house. I hope it holds up. We do not have pets, just a river and plenty of dirt. Wish I knew about this little gem a long time ago! Also, I vacuumed all the hard floors before running the steamer. I read on reviews of the "all in one" machines that most people vacuumed ahead of using the ones that had the steam and vac in one anyway, so I saved some money and went with the simple one. Will be much easier to store and is so easy to use. I like that is has a cord and not a nonreplacable battery.

A Cleaning Powerhouse for Hard Floors
The Shark S7001 Mop has completely transformed my cleaning routine and exceeded my expectations in every way possible. This innovative mop not only mops but also scrubs and sanitizes simultaneously, making it a true cleaning powerhouse. With its Dirt Grip Soft Scrub pads, it effortlessly tackles dirt, grime, and even stubborn stains on hard floors with ease. The design is thoughtful and practical, with a lightweight and maneuverable construction that allows me to navigate around furniture and tight spaces effortlessly. The swivel steering makes it a breeze to maneuver, and the adjustable steam settings provide customizable cleaning power for different floor types. One of the standout features of this mop is its ability to sanitize floors, killing 99.9% of germs and bacteria without the need for harsh chemicals. As someone with pets and small children, this gives me peace of mind knowing that my floors are not only clean but also hygienic. The only minor downside I've encountered is that the Dirt Grip pads may need frequent washing or replacement after heavy use. However, this is a small price to pay for the exceptional cleaning performance and convenience that the Mop provides. Overall, I highly recommend this mop to anyone in need of a versatile and effective cleaning solution for hard floors. It's a game-changer that has made cleaning a breeze and has quickly become an essential tool in my household.

Quit working after 3 uses
The first three times I used this mop, it was great. It cleans really well, I like the cleaning pads that it comes with, and it is easy to use. However, the fourth time I tried to use it the mop would not produce steam and turned off automatically after about 30 seconds. I have followed all of the manufacturers instructions for use. I contacted Shark for troubleshooting, and was told that my mop would need a new part. However, even though my product is still under warranty, Shark charges shipping for parts, even though it was their product that is defective. When I refused to pay the shipping for the new part, and asked to return the product instead, they said that they require returns to go through Amazon. When I contacted Amazon, Amazon refused to return the product because it is past the return window. Shark does not stand behind their products, and Amazon, in this case is not standing behind a product that they sold. Typically, in my limited experience with returns, Amazon is great about this, but not this time. I have also had three different Shark vacuums in the past three years. Two of them died within six months. Fortunately, I bought them at Costco, and was able to replace them. I will not buy shark products in the future. Additionally, I will probably stick to purchasing items like this from Costco rather than Amazon in case the product is defective and needs to be returned. I think companies should stand behind the products they sell.
