This is not a bad book, however if you are a beginner at programming, then you may want to look to start elsewhere. The book is a Text Book in the true sense of the word. The Cover of the book show young children, this is misleading. There is no graphics /screenshots to catch a young readers attention. As stated the entire book is black, white and grey in colour. The content is quite good but if this is purchased for a young child 11 years or young, then be prepared to sit with the child as they go through the book. You may want to look at Scratch Programming before starting with this book to learn the basics of programming.. That said if you are already using Python then this is a good book to work through.
