This is a beast, very aggressive cut but will make short order of big jobs. Needless to say, there is a bit of a learning curve if you haven't used on of these before. Wear gloves, safety glasses, and dust mask/respirator because it will throw chips and saw dust everywhere. Seems well made and should be durable. A little pricey but I don't expect to need to replace it anytime soon.

Amazing tool, easy to use and work with, I thought it was going to be something that would be too effective and I would need to learn how to handle it properly but really it is almost intuitive how it works. I went from using a cheaper tool that left a scratched and rough surface and this one leaves one that you barely even need to sand if you're slow and careful enough. That being said the name KutzAll is a good name, this thing doesn't care if its wood or your fingers, I got a little careless with it and it removed a bit of my thumb for it, so do be careful it works like they say it does.

I ordered the Kutzall extreme shaping dish and thought to myself " Meh, I'll give it a try." Holy cow!!!!! This is awesome. I also used it with a Bosch Variable-Speed Angle Grinder. I think that made a difference as well. I think it goes from 2500 rpm to 11,500 rpm. Instead of a typical angle grinder that is always at a full blown 11,000 and no way to slow it down. As I used the disc I played with the speed. I noticed at 11,500 rpm it was hard to stay steady and that disc really cuts in. I pulled back by half and My, My, My it was beautifully cutting and smoothing at the same time. I hardly had to sand it and it was easy to control. I loved the disc soooooo much I purchased all of their other bits. I haven't used those yet but, If they're anything like the shaping disc. I'm sure I will love them.

I purchased the Kutzall Extreme Shaping Dish which I’ve used this about a dozen times on White Birch, Yellow Birch, Ash and Black Ash. It does a good job removing material if you don’t have a lathe and the price is decent. **However, I must warn you that the amount of dust that is created when using the Kutzall Extreme Shaping Dish is incredibly overwhelming. For example, I am only able to use this for about five minutes at a time because of the massive amount of fine dust that is an extreme irritant on the eyes and lungs. I tried three (3) different safety glasses and three (3) different masks/respirators (all highly rated for woodworking/dust) and NONE of them could satisfactorily keep the dust out. After about five minutes, you’ll need to wash out your eyes and walk/run away to get fresh/clean air. To that point, this is an OUTDOOR tool and I would not recommend anyone to use this indoors because of severe dust contamination. For example, I carved out a birch, 10-inch bowl outside in the yard and the dust was so thick that when it settled on the ground, the grass wouldn’t grow until I raked it over and re-seeded that portion of my lawn. This all from a single 10-inch bowl! I would recommend, for safety purposes, to ONLY use this with an oxygen supplied face shield/respirator while outdoors! These types breathing apparatuses start at about $250 without the oxygen!

I recently got into power carving and got kitted up. (I've been watching a lot of Bastion Head videos on-line). I took a chance on this to see how well it can do curves and smoothing over of the slightly scalloped cuts of other tools. It is tremendous. You can get very good exposure of the cutting surface to the wood and some fast smooth cuts. Because it is basically a spiky abrasive surface it is not prone to catches, but it can run away a bit because it has so much friction contact with the wood. Still probably the safest of the power carving attachments I've tried out.

It is great. It takes a lot off but it won't rip the grinder out of your hand.

This disc is amazing, stayed sharp while I was stripping bark from Mountain Cedar logs. Easily shaped the wood for custom cedar railings. USE CAUTION AND PAY ATTENTION WHILE USING THIS TOOL! Going to use it to shape a native edge shelf and other furniture items.

ich habe die scheibe vom amazon warehouse gekauft. ich vermute das es den ersten käufer gestöhrt hat, dass am inneren Rand der scheibe 5-6 Zähne abgebrochen sind. dies fällt an sich kaum auf und an dieser stelle schleift man normal so oder so nicht wirklich. mich stöhrt es jedenfalls nicht und ich bin mit der scheibe wirlklich sehr zufrieden. der Abtrag ist großartig und die Oberfläche ist sehr gleichmäßig, also keine einzelnen zähne die vorstehen oder ähnliches, somit auch keine einzelnen Riefen im werkstück die man mühevoll wieder raus schleifen müste. ich werde sicherlich noch mehr dieser scheiben kaufen. Preis - Leistung = Ausgezeichnet

Excellent. Remove wood in a minimum of time as long as your grinder don't die on you (like mine). Just be careful to not operate it near your fingers, legs or other parts. Very good value. I thought it was a bit expensive but after 5 min of using it I understood clearly why. Quality stuff.
