Functions well
Bought this as a hands free valve for a shop sink. So far it's holding up fine and no issues. Just note the angle of the threads.

A jewel of a product!
I am most impressed with the quality of the product... even the packaging is outstanding. It came wrapped in a soft, foamed polyethylene, "paper" to prevent the chrome surface from being scratched. The wrapped valve was in a double wall plastic bag... the inner wall being a thicker version of the wrapping paper and the outer wall being a standard bubble-wrap (1/4-inch bubbles) bag. THAT, in turn, was inside a bag of an even thicker version of the wrap, with a nylon cord drawstring. And that was in a corrugated cardboard box. If the manufacturer is that proud of their product to package it such, they surely will take the same amount of care in the manufacture of it. The valve is cast brass and is completely chrome plated. It does require Teflon tape on the threads of the connectors and a good silicone, nylon or rubber washer for a good seal. Be sure to wrap the Teflon tape in a clockwise direction on the threads so when the pipe connector is threaded onto the valve body, the tape is drawn tighter around the threads. A note to the reviewers that have complained that it won't provide "suction"... you are RIGHT! It is NOT a "Pump"; it is a "Valve" that works with a long, foot operated lever, instead of a knob. All it does is stop or allow the flow of water from the inlet to the outlet. It does not PUMP water. A note to the reviewers that have complained that the valve leaks. I think you probably need to swap the connections on the back of the valve. The supply of water should connect to the lower, straight in the back, connector. The faucet should connect to the upper, angled connector out the top of the unit. The water pressure helps hold the valve closed. If you connect the pressurized supply to the upper, angled connector, the water pressure will be pushing against the spring, lifting the valve off the seat, letting water pass through. For those that have broken or bent the foot lever. It must be mounted to the floor. The design is such that when the end of the lever reaches the floor, the valve will be fully open. Trying to move the lever farther is useless, because the valve has traveled its full extent and cannot open any farther. Pressing harder on the lever will just bend or break the lever. If you have mounted the unit on a higher substrate, that surface must extend to the end of the foot operated lever to support it against someone standing on it. You can vary the amount of water that is allowed to flow by pressing the lever only part way. But this may be difficult for many users. The total valve travel is not very far and only a small initial movement is enough to allow a lot of water to flow.

Seems to work, read the review.
The pedal seems to work fine, I'm giving it 4 Stars because I am not sure about the longevity. I hooked it up to the hose that runs from the faucet valve to the faucet, which is on its own 5 ft long hose so you can use it as a remote sprayer. Doing this required about $80 worth of fittings from Home Depot. There were a lot of leaks, none of them at the pedal. I spent five days sealing fittings with goop sealant and then waiting overnight to see if it leaked or not. Finally after five days I drilled the hole in the baseboard, and install the pedal. Like I said, the pedal is fine, but you're still looking at quite a project. The threads on the pedal housing are 5/8 of an inch. I recommend using poop sealant on all the fittings, and not using Teflon tape.

Time saver +++++++
I use this to fill my ATV sprayer. I am not always turning the hydrant on and off (once a day now); while adding chemicals. Very very handy. "Pay attention to the hookups and it will not leak ( put pressure on the valve and not against the valve). You do not want it pushing the valve open.

Foot Pedal Valve
This one is the same as the other, but has a different name. I finally got it hooked up, I had to get the right length hosesss. It works fine, I have to get used to using my foot now, after many years of using my hand. I may put them on my other sinks also.

The product failed in 5 months.
I bought this valve last April and used during summer. Before winter it was stored in the shed, but when installed last week the valve was leaking. Open the valve to see if any gasket is bad, but found that the part on which the gasket sits on is broken, as shown in the picture.
