I was well pleased to see the quality of this vise when i took it out of the package. Very well built and made of heavy steel. Was very easy to use and came exactly as described. The screw handles make it easy to open and close the jaws for precise alignment of parts. I would recomment this vise for use in diy or professional use.

After looking at several models - I went with this for price and overall appearance. I generally do not bolt my vices down, but instead clamp them down and use them that way. Using plugs (cutoff bolts) for the bolt holes - this thing worked great and locked down well. In order for it to hold different sized stock at 90 degrees, the screw is set in the sliding jaw on a swivel. This was cumbersome at first, but then I realized it would be very limited without this feature. Overall this is a great product and appears to do angle iron to angle iron and angle iron to square tube and square stock great.

These helped me simplify the construction of special doors. They were able to hold items in place until the weld cooled reducing the need to use more heat to square door.

The machined surfaces are out of square by about 1/32" over the length of the clamp, so using this for welding and fabrication isn't really feasible.

Badly out of square. Worse than I could show in the picture which defeats the purpose. The screw is also plain old black steel unlike what's advertised and will grab spatter. Avoid.
