Definitely provides the compression you are looking for. I bought to my normal sizing, and it is difficult to put on and take off...however once on, it does seem to do it's job and there is no restriction in movement. This is first compression shirt for me, so maybe this is the way it is supposed to be. Regardless, this is high quality and I believe it does the job on helping to keep my body/shoulders together when lifting or doing full body exercise. I definitely recommend it.Only complaint is based on the shirtsleeve version I bought....it came with no tags, clearly was crumpled up in the box, box was damaged and I could tell it had been worn. Very disappointing for any product, but definitely when $99 for a shirt. If returns were not annoying, I would have sent back, but decided to wash and live with it.

I have used this as a base layer for the my outdoor runs this winter. This is not a layer to keep you warm, but it is perfect under a couple of other layers and a jacket. It is super tight so it feels a little strange to wear. It makes me keep my shoulders back when I have it on, so I feel like it may help my posture on some of those super-long marathon training runs. It was the perfect solution to a painful nipple chafing problem. Have you ever done a 15 mile run with the wrong shirt? I am 6'3" and about 185. I went with Large, and it seems like the right size. This top has been perfect.

Four stars simply because this compression shirt fits loose around the waist. The arms, chest, upper back and shoulder areas provide great compression. Unfortunately, 2XU must have forgotten that people who religiously workout have small midsections. Oh, and I have four of these shirts - 2 sm and 2 md.

True to size, great compression for shoulders and back. I was surprised that it is actually vented very well, you do not overheat. Best one I've tried.

I never thought I would buy a compression shirt. I workout a lot and play sports and turning 47. My shoulders and arms take a beating, but wearing this provides support to my shoulders, back, and arms. I feel like I'm able to workout just as hard without the extra soreness I would experience. I still getting used to this, but I'm already thinking about buying another one. The fit is tight but does not constrict to the point that I don't have full range of motion.

Love to wear this in cool, not cold temps. I wear it with just a over it and can run in temps down to 30. Once it hits 30 I switch to the thermal version. Love this stuff. built so well and its comfortable

The best rash guard compression top I have ever worn and used. It is the only compression top that I can wear at night that helps heals my muscles and recover quickly.

This is an excellent base layer. It will help speed up warmup, help keep recovery times in between sets in check and if you are recovering from muscular injuries this will give you some extra support that will make a difference. I don't wear this all the time keeping it for when recovering from injuries or when doing particularly challenging workouts that have increased risk of damage.The item itself is very robust, the material is of good quality and it has survived various washes and wear. Highly recommended.

great quality and a proper compression top, not simply a base layer like a lot that are sold. I have a problem with tendonitis in the elbow and require a bit of "tightness" to support the tendon but don't like the constiction of the elbow straps i use when training back and biceps, this provides a great middle way, as i say in the title it's almost like wearing supersuit
