Bought this to replace a padded version that just fell apart from being out in the weather after one season. Buying this saves the $100+ of buying a new chair. Just as comfortable as previous fabric and more durable when left out in rain and sun. Some things to note, though:- it is shorter than the padded seat on previous. That is just comparing what I had.- There is no head rest with this, so if your previous seat had it, you will need to find an alternative. Maybe a nice outdoor pillow.- You can reuse the cords that were already on the chair if in good condition, it doesn't come with this purchase. Otherwise you have to buy a set.- You will have to drill out one rivet to get this on most XL chairs. You can then either re-rivet or find a small bolt that will fill that hole. You may need someone that is handy with tools to help.- Be prepared to fall asleep outdoors. Apply sunscreen and bug spray before reclining. Enjoy!

I bought some gravity chairs from Walmart and I cannot find the right fabric covers for it. I bought this product in hopes it will fit. The item did not match the Walmart chair but since the tear was at the foot area only, I placed this item on top of the chair and weaved the rope. I did not remove the old fabric but just placed the new fabric over to help strength the chair. Works well so far and no one can tell the difference and just need some DIY to make it work. Too bad, the Walmart gravity chair fabric are not available in replacement parts after searching the name brand, Walmart stores and warehouses.

First, how to measure the width is all messed up. I measured inside the frame of the back of the chair -- 19", so I ordered the size for the 18.5" chair, rather than the one from the next size up. Surprise, the product is only 16.5" wide. Sure, it'll fit, but uncomfortably. More importantly, however, this only comes 63" long. That's about 6 inches shorter than the old fabric and doesn't reach to the end of the loops on the frame. It looks sturdy, but we'll never know. I could've bought grommets and fabric in the correct length and saved myself time. :(

I absolutely love my chair now, with this new material on it! It is even better than it was when I first bought it! My chair originally came with a more fabric like material on it and while it was fairly comfortable, it was a horrible idea for an outdoor chair. The material inevitably became sun-bleached and eventually dry-rotted until it began shredding. I can tell that this new material will not succumb to the elements nearly as quickly, if ever, at all. And the icing on the cake?! It is EXTREMELY comfortable! I am just loving it!! The one thing that is very important to note is that, in the process of disassembling the chair's back, in order to install the new fabric, you will be removing a rivet. While the instructions do mention this, what they do not tell you is that the rivet is not reusable. Therefore, you will need to replace it with either another rivet, or (as I did) a nut and bolt. Neither is supplied with the material, so this is something that you will need to purchase, yourself, prior to installing your new material, as you will not be able to put the chair back together without it. Once you have your replacement for your rivet, the installation process, although somewhat time consuming, is a very easy, straightforward task. Hope this helps!
