Fun for animals

YouTube videos helped me to make the balloon animals but these balloons worked great for me. None popped, the colors looked great, and they were preset inexpensive as far as party decor is concerned. It just takes a lot of time and patience. I made sea horses, sea turtles, clown fish, starfish, a shark, and an octopus for the under the sea themed party. I’d only ever made a sword and a dog before. Just watch some videos and give it a try.

These are nice strong balloons! A bit tough to inflate but I'll just stretch them more and get used to them.

I've been a balloon artist for years, but it had been awhile since I'd done any gigs and bought new balloons. I've always bought Qualatex brand balloons, but these were cheaper and I decided to try them out. I have very mixed feelings about them after using them for a gig. I'll start with the positives: The colors, for the most part, are nice and vibrant. The pink and orange are slightly washed out in the sunlight, but the other colors look great. The texture is more matte than glossy, which some may prefer. I personally prefer a smoother, glossier feel, and these were not. Now for the negatives: The most glaring flaw is that they simply pop too much. No matter what brand you buy and how good you think you are, you're going to pop some balloons. But it got to the point where I was running into issues during my gig when the balloons kept popping in the middle of a design and I would have to start over. It is not a major issue, but they definitely do not hold up as well as Qualatex balloons. Another part of the design that I don't like is that all of the balloons have a little nipple on the end and this remains even when they are fully inflated. They also tend to stain the hands more than any other brand I've used, as the picture shows. Again, not a huge deal, but just worth noting. One more thing; the batch I bought did not come with an equal amount of each color. There were many more pinks than any other color, and only one brown and two whites. Overall, I'd just recommend you shell out a few extra dollars to buy the good stuff; Qualatex has never failed me yet. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And these are kinda broke :P
