SINGER, 100% Cotton, Ceramic Solid, Quilting and Crafting Fabric for Sewing, 44 Inch Wide, Cut by Yard

This fabric is of great quality. The thickness is NOT transparent. I bought it hoping to use as a wide border on a quilt I am making that needs framed and it matched perfectly. I purchased 8 years because of the amazing price-it will be versatile and easy. I have not washed the material yet. Color thru out is even not fading Definitely would purchase again.

Fabric is so soft and yummy. Very high quality. Appearance is beautiful. Very versatile. Can be used for a lot of things. The color is awesome. This fabric has no print. Great value for the money.

I needed some solid red fabric and decided to give this one a try. I had low expectations due to the low price, but am pleasantly surprised by its excellent quality. It is a very nice cotton that will be useful for many projects.So far I have only used it for some patriotic coasters and a throw pillow, but I'm sure I will find many opportunities to use the rest of it. Highly recommended

I bought this fabric for hand embroidery projects, specifically thread painting pet portraits. The quality is just ok. I honestly expected better from a big name brand like Singer. Value-wise it's just meh...not a rip off, but also not a great deal. In the end, I can definitely find less expensive test/backing fabric, so I probably wouldn't buy this again. Since you might want to use it for a different purpose, I'll walk through some of the pros and cons:Pros:- The color is as advertised. The white fabric I was sent was indeed a nice, bright white.- The large dimensions (off a bolt rather than pre-cut smaller pieces) mean you have a lot of flexibility in what you use the fabric for.- No flaws in the fabric. Consistent weave, density, and color throughout.Cons:- It's definitely thinner and lower thread count than I expected, which means it's pretty translucent and doesn't hold up to a dense thread painting/embroidery project. Instead I've been using it as a backing fabric or as a test fabric when I need to try things out.- Rougher than I thought it would be, probably bc of the low thread count. Even though it's 100% cotton, the hand feel is similar to a cheap cotton/polyester blend that you might find in a low-end bed sheet.- Paints, inks, markers bleed BADLY on this. Sometimes I do a painted background and I do swatching for many of my paints+thread to see how they perform on different fabrics and EVERYTHING bleeds on this fabric. Even the textile marker I use to label swatches bled to the point of being almost unreadable.

I wanted to add a little length to a casual dress I bought that has this color in it. It matched perfectly.

This fabric (and the other two colors I bought - Iceland Poppy and Red) came quickly and was cut squarely. The fabric is a nice thickness and handles well. I needed a cotton fabric to cut strips from for accenting sewing projects. The standout of all of these fabrics is the colors! They are bright, evenly dyed, and came looking exactly like they were pictured. I can't saw enough about the beautiful color. The prices, though varied, were comparable, if not a little less, to what you would find in a craft store. I will order more of this Singer Fabric as the need for different colors arise.

I have purchased this brand of cotton before, it meets the price, and the usuage of it is fine, launders very well.
