Not bad.
The tripod design is very sturdy (I know it won't topple over or collapse), and the easel compacts nicely. The champagne color and the crank that extends the top of the easel are both nice touches. The "pothook" at the bottom is pretty useless for my turpentine jar, but could be useful for weighing the easel down outdoors. Four stars because I would have preferred an adjustable horizontal plank to support the bottom of the painting (instead of the two "painting holds" - see Amazon product picture), and because I had to shove packs of post-its between the easel and the painting to keep it from wiggling in the painting holds. Also, four stars because the easel is a little too short for me to paint comfortably while standing (I'm 5'4"). Overall, I like it, and it definitely beats the travel/studio easel Blick sold on Black Friday for $30 ($86 originally).

Easy to open and use; Sturdy even with large items; Very Adjustable
We use these for displaying pictures at funerals, posters for events, and all sorts of stuff. We haven't tried it outside, yet, so wind might make it less sturdy. Give it some weight on that center hook and I'm sure that would solve the wind problem. For indoor use, it works great. I could imagine one of the plastic clips breaking after a few years of regular use, or if somebody was rough with them. But with normal use, these are well worth the money. As for steadiness - we put our heavy 2 1/2 foot by 3 1/2 foot church charter on it, both upright and sideways, and this easel had no problem with it. It is also adjustable in pretty much every way imaginable. We tried one for about 2 months and liked it so much that we're buying 3 more for the church. We paid $29.99 for this, and that price is very fair for a tripod easel, especially for such a quality item.

easy to use
I have been avoiding drilling holes into the wall to put up an dry eras board! This product has adjustable, easy to use, just light enough and yet just sturdy enough tripod support for a perfect mobile setup. it supports a 36" X 24" dry erase or similar type board secured by an easy to adjust spring clamp to secure the top in place. perfect for simple presentations and lectures with its highest height reaching just over 5'. Its base triangle base stretches as wide as the board itself and as deep at its full extension.

I am easily able to adjust the height to my preference
I got this in the mail today and started to use it. I am easily able to adjust the height to my preference. It is very sturdy and does need t wobble around when being used. I can hang a tiny bucket of water or paint on the hook. Now me and my family can start painting more often then we used to.

Good for Display, Not active use
Served the purpose in displaying an erasable white board with lists of open convention workshops. Had to lay the white board on a table to write though. The tripod was too wobbly to use for active white board use. I would use this for display purposes only.

Product arrived in good condition. No assembly required
Timely delivery. Product arrived in good condition. No assembly required, easy configuration. Strong enough to hold wood-frame poster sheet-size whiteboard (appx. 5lbs). Feels a little plasticky/weak/too light. Still, solid, stable design.

Good display easel
I bought the easel to display some paintings. I could fit a frame 24" tall and 1" wide. I also like the fact that it is light and I can pack it and carry it with me.I tried to use it as a painting easel as well and it works, if you treat it gently. It is not very sturdy.

Not Worth the Risk
BROKEN when received. I ordered 2, one of them was great and the top to the other was broken right off. The boxes were dirty and banged up inside the amazon box, which was fine, so it didn't happen on their way to me. Not a good sign. I do love the color though.
