love these mini reference books
love these mini reference books takes very little space on the shelf and light weight enough to through in a day pack. much easier than trying to find data or see a screen on a smart phone while out hiking or picnicking.

Good berry ID guide, but no color
Great berry ID, but no color in this book. I went through the book, page by page, and colored all of the berries with the appropriate colored pencils.

This edition is for east of the Rockies, Pacific version also exists
This is a great little book, taking a flowchart based approach to figuring out what particular berry-filled plant you're looking at (start at page X for this kind of stem, then turn to page Y for that kind of a leaf pattern, etc.) The guide includes prominent warning symbols on poisonous plants, also warning when the plant is rare enough that it's unclear if it's edible or not. There's a separate Pacific Coast edition for plants in that region. Sadly, there isn't a Rocky Mountain edition yet.

Ok
Its okay should have actual camera photos. This one has hand drawn in black and white not very usefull for the beginer.

Great little book
Haven't had a chance to utilize it yet, but the drawings should make it easy to identify the numerous berries found throughout our woods.
