🎶 Elevate Your Sound with D'Addario Strings!
D'Addario Phosphor Bronze Resophonic Guitar Strings (EJ42) offer a rich, full tonal spectrum for 6-string guitars. These medium strings (16-56 gauge) are precision wound with corrosion-resistant phosphor bronze over a high-carbon steel core, ensuring durability and a warm, balanced tone. Originally pioneered in the 1970s, they remain the standard in acoustic guitar strings. Made in the USA, they also come with a code for earning Players Circle points.

They are the real deal.
I use these strings on my Gretsch Square Neck Box Car resonator guitar. As I understand it, these are the strings that it came with and are the recommended ones. The combo of the guitar and strings sounds perfect to me. The one thing I was apprehensive about was whether these would be fakes or genuine. As soon as I got them, I used the D'Addario system for verifying that they are real and registering the code numbers to help prevent anyone else from getting fake strings with this brand. Turns out they are genuine and the exact product number I ordered here on Amazon. Good price too.

Wonderful Resonator Guitar Strings
While it is entirely possible to string a resonator guitar with regular acoustic guitar strings, there really is something to be said for using a set of strings specifically designed for a resonator guitar. This particularly is true if you are going to play lap style slide guitar, because of what they will allow as far as pressure of the bar against the strings, and because of the tonal depth. When I ordered the D'Addario EJ42 set I was surprised--pleasantly--at the price. It turns out that these are very good strings: they hold their tuning quite well and the set has a nice balance from string to string in tension and tone. They can be used on a round-neck resonator for a combination of fretting and slide playing, but because some players might find them a bit heavy for fretting, they probably are most ideal for square-neck, lap-style playing. Because the music stores in my area don't routinely carry resonator strings, and because the Amazon third-party vendor from whom I bought the strings offers free shipping, these D'Addarios will be my first choice the next time I need to change strings on my resonator guitar!

The best of the best.
Look no further than these. They are timeless and will last long enough to make you want to change strings when the time comes(to a fresh set of EJ42's). Every other brand (and I've played most of them) sound great but have either had an early breakage (I play Beard's so its not the instrument) or lose tone so fast that string changes become more trouble than they're worth for most players.

Good sound - good strings.
I put the D'Addario EJ42 strings on my Myrtle, deep-bodied, square-neck reso a few weeks ago. I'm a serious guitarist, but only a hobbyist with the reso, so take my opinions as they deserve to be taken. The strings are warm and pleasant. Not too bright or twangy. I like the Jerry Douglas-type sound, and these produce it, so if you're looking for that type of tone, these strings can deliver. Of course, it also helps if you have a good reso (which I do) and Jerry Douglas-type talent (which I don't).

Great strings, sound wonderful, put them on an old dobro
I bought two sets because I am a rookie, and sure enough, I broke one. So I learned about tensioning, and installed the second set, Perfect !! I tuned the dobro to GBDGBD and these sound great. I am going to order these for my other guitars as well. One thing I learned was check the gauge that is appropriate for your instrument, and you wont be disappointed.

Works great on a baritone
I wanted a little less boom on my baritone acoustic. These work very well and are plenty long for the baritone scale length. They sound nice with strumming and picking.

Best Reso Strings around
Great Strings!I've been using these for over 4 years and are the best reso strings IMHO.Plus, if they're good enough for Jerry then they're good enough for me.Bright, loud and long lasting and much warmer than anything else I've tried. This is as much based on my taste, preference and instrument but it gets me sounding more like Jerry Douglas than any other strings

Fairly heavy but sound great.
Nice full sound on the Dobro. If you're used to 9s or 10s or your action is poor you may suffer a little. My action is quite low so these are no issue at all to play and sound so much better than the crap I had on it when I bought it.

Fantastic sound. Always my go to string for the resonator. Alas snapped G
The G string snapped at the under the pitch of F while slowly winding it up! This has never happened before. Just an unlucky batch. The guitar peg isn’t what caused it. Luckily it is being replaced asap.
