Perfect!
I don't like clinking dog tags. Previously I have gotten 2 custom made small plastic tags with all the info--name & contact #s, city license, rabies, chip info, etc. and I didn't use the tags provided by each of those entities. I was never sure if I was completely legal not using the official rabies tag or if my dog were lost, would they see the rabies info? Also, we got a new rabies tag but the city license doesn't expire for a while.I decided to try something new this time and reserached all the tag silencers on amazon. I am glad I tried this mini silencer for my 15 pound dog, about the size of a big cat.I was able to fit the city license (1.5" bone) and the new rabies tag (sort of a sunburst) in this holder. It was a tight squeeze. I carefully used needle nosed pliers for the last little bit. I left the plastic bone with my dog's name, my contact info, and chip info, outside the holder. I put the license and rabies tags back to back so the information on each can be read through the plastic. In the illustration on the product page, I think the bone shown inside the small ThunderCover is the 1 1/4" bone. Our 1 1/2" bone just barely fits width-wise.This is soft flexible plastic. The bottom is open. You slide the tags up till the holes match. Our large rabies tag hangs out the bottom a little but it doesn't matter.I didn't use the supplied connector because there are a number of reviewers of the larger ThunderCover who said it came apart while in use. I used a 3/4" split ring. It was pretty difficult getting it through the ThunderCover since it's thick and soft but it was worth it to me for security. If I hold my dog's collar in my hand and shake it, there is still a little noise, but in real life use around her neck, I don't hear a thing.I am uploading some pics. Sorry, there is no way I could get a picture of it while on my dog, who hates having her picture taken. But it doesn't hang down too low as I was afraid it might, especially using a larger split ring.

It would be nice to see a heavier duty
Works as advertised. Only thing I noticed is that it DOES get a little bit frosted over after a few weeks, making it impossible to read the tags within. But I guess that isn't that big a deal, if someone needs to see the tags they just need to be removed. Definitely did work to quiet that jingling sound, though!I gave it only 4 stars because the little plastic hoop where the unit hooks onto the collar seems a touch flimsy & makes me nervous that it will break & I will lose the tags. It would be nice to see a heavier duty, more serious connector. For this very reason, I did not put ALL my dog's tags in the holder, I left his name/address tag out & on a separate metal hoop so that if the plastic silencer broke, he would still have SOMETHING left on his collar with his information on it. A way to not put all my eggs in one basket, if you will.

Sanity savers!
I HATE the jingle jangle of tags. My dogs don't wear collars or harnesses in the house - I think they're dangerous. So when they have them on, they are constantly shaking their tags and it drive me and them crazy! So, I just took their tags off. Well, there's no point to that, right? I tried taping them together with Scotch tape, which was a temporary solution.I finally found these silencers, which are god sends! Now, they are not without their faults! They work really well for ONE TAG! So, if you only have one tag on your dog, you're golden. However, if you have a name tag, a village tag, a rabies tag, a microchip tag, etc. You're in for a frustrating afternoon! I felt like I needed an extreme amount of patience and a tray of surgical tools to successfully get their tags in these little sleeves. I'll tell you I didn't get all of their tags in there and I'm okay with that. I chose the most important ones and I think I squeezed two in there.I recommend gathering a few materials before you get started: a paper clip, one of those claw-shaped staple removers, some alcohol (not rubbing alcohol, drinking quality). Feed the paper clip through the hole of the tags so they don't slip back down the sleeve. Use the claw to help open the ring so you don't damage your nails or if you don't have nails. The alcohol, use this to maintain your patience. Once you get the tags in there, you're in great shape! Be very proud of yourself, you're done! Unless you have more than one dog, like I do OR when it comes time to renew their rabies shots. Best of luck!

Fits 4 dog tags and NO MORE JINGLING
This is exactly what I needed for our two greyhounds. I can't stand the sound of jingling tags...very light sleeper. Had an old leather bag type tag holder that was completely worn out. Ordered a different brand from Amazon and didn't like the way it laid on the collar - we use the Martingale style for our greys. This type is perfect. What I really like is that anyone can see the dog's name and contact information through the clear silicone. Note: I did have to use a larger split ring to accommodate all 4 tags...available at any hobby store The only con is it would necessitate taking the split ring off and working all 4 tags out of the silicone holder to see all of the tags, but i turned them so that 1st tag had our contact information facing outward, then rabies and another city tag were sandwiched in the middle, and the 4th tag faced outward with our dog's name on it. I don't thnk we'll need those other middle tags until it's time to replace them. This is an excellent buy, in my opinion.
