ESR Hybrid Case with HaloLock, Compatible with iPhone 13 Pro Max, Magnetic Wireless Charging, Military-Grade Protection, Scratch-Resistant Back, Classic Series, Clear

I was keen to protect my new iPhone ASAP, but was sceptical about whether there would be any cases that would fit it (I believe the dimensions are very slightly different to the 12 Pro Max, and the camera array certainly is).I needn’t have worried, because this case fits the phone like a glove. It does add a perceptible amount of bulk compared to it being naked, but you can see how it will protect the phone from drops. It’s reassuringly padded.Every surface of the phone is covered, and there is a lip on the front side of the case that means the screen doesn’t touch whatever surface you put it on. The camera lens protection is also effective.I’m pleased to say that the buttons are not affected by the case, they’re easy to press and don’t squeak or flex.The case did not foul the ESR screen protector I had already fitted, which was nice (albeit expected).MagSafe functions perfectly through the case, with the charging animation reflecting that MagSafe charging is enabled. The case DOESN’T show an animation when you put your phone in it, like genuine Apple ones do, but the case isn’t advertised as being “made for MagSafe”, only MagSafe compatible. It would be nice if future iterations of it supported the NFC chip.The packaging that the case came in was basic and generic, not indicating what phone it was for. I believe this is probably due to how fast ESR needed to get this to market, so we can’t complain here.All in all this is a quality case. ESR have done a great job.

Quality amazing, fit perfect and right up there with the Apple version! Will be buying another for my other phones. Value is a strong 5!

I got this case after returning another third party case which was fine except for having a weak magnet.I have used the ESR cases before with the 13 Pro so was fairly confident and can confirm this case has a really strong magnetic attachment so you can be confident it will stick firmly to magnetic stands and car mounts without falling off.The case itself feels pretty sturdy, the button covers work well and the areas near cutouts (like the bottom of the case) aren’t weak like you find on some cases. It’s pretty light weight and doesn’t feel particularly bulky so overall does exactly what it needs to do.The only reason I haven’t given this 5* is that the finish around the outside of the phone is a bit rough so when you’re holding the phone for a while it feels slightly abrasive. Many other cases including previous ESR ones have soft silicone which feels much better.I’m also personally not a fan of the clear, smooth Perspex back but I think that’s just personal preference. I wish ESR would release a wider range of styles as the phone launches because I expect the full silicone style I prefer will come out eventually but too late for early adopters.

Having just bought a new iPhone on launch day, and as the shop didn’t have the case I wanted, it was time to trawl Amazon and fast!I’ve used ESR’s Halolock stickers previously, so figured one of their cases was worth a look. I also really liked the black frame and MagSafe elements more than the white/clear ones that so many cases use instead.I’ve been using it for a few days now and here are my thoughts….Fit is generally good, the case snaps on securely and will take a fair (but not excessive) amount of force to remove. It is a tiny bit saggy on the bottom edge, something that unfortunately happens quite often with cases as this is a weak point.The screen and camera protection are excellent. A soft lip goes around the entire screen with extra bumps and lift in the corners. The camera lip is hard and rises just slightly above the lenses. There’s a cutout to attach a lanyard too - a nice touch that I wish more case makers would consider.The case feels sturdy, the buttons are satisfyingly tactile (no mushiness here!) and holes for speakers and mute switch are precise - the latter is quite large which is good if you have chunky fingers! There is a slight cutout above the front facing camera which I assume is to ensure access to the tech in that area is not blocked.I have the purple 14 Pro and I think it looks great with this case. The clear backing shows off the colour nicely.The magnetic Halolock works very well. It snaps onto my qi charger with a solid click and feels more secure than the iPhone on its own. In the video attached, I used my magnetic Popsocket to demonstrate how secure the attachment is as well as showing the connection to my charger.It’s nice to hold as well. Doesn’t feel slippery and despite the weight of the phone, I don’t get finger fatigue after using it for a while - I actually prefer holding it without the Popsocket!Considering this not a premium brand case, I’m quite impressed with the quality and how quickly ESR got this released. I do buy a lot of phone cases, but this is definitely going to be in my regular rotation when I get a few more.

I am ridiculously pleased with this simple case. It fits really well, including protecting the buttons on the sides. It easily attaches to the magnetic charger. It shows off the lovely colour of my phone. Perhaps I’m so pleased because I’ve now realised for the last few years I’ve been using an expensive brand case that was not half as good. Definitely worth buying.
