Water collection box for drainage
Easy install and works great to have water collected and piped to dry well system. I purchased 4 of these for 2 seperate dry well systems. Look good and works great.

Ideal drainage solution, plan ahead to solve faults.
Very pleased with the sturdiness of the shell and top grid, *BUT* there is definitely a manufacturing precision failure in matching the side screw-in inserts to the size of the pre-cut hole. Poor fit. There are way too many gaps. I had to use silicone caulk so it would not leak. Some of the gaps were so large it took three layers to get them sealed. Thankfully I had read of this issue in other reviews so had a small tube ready. I used 4" solid corrugated flex tubing. It fits over the basin's side tube flanges. The fit is NOT secure, so plan to caulk bottom crescent of the corrugated tube to prevent too much leakage out the bottom lip. Also purchase stainless steel short screws to attach the pipe to the male flange so it stays connected. I would NOT recommend using 3" piping even though they say it 'fits'. 4" slips over the flange so water flows out onto/into the pipe. A 3" would have to be caulked or glued to the INSIDE of the side flange, creating a greater possibility of leaks. I purchased two basins, one using the top flat grid that comes with it to receive a hefty flow of water that runs off a driveway, surrounded it with drainage gravel over weed fabric. The 2nd is installed directly under a downspout. We're in Florida, so have daily heavy rains. To be sure there was not a splash issue, I also bought the 12x12 sloped top grid. It replaced the top grid that came with the basin. (I wish they offered that duo as a combo!) Very pleased with the result. No splashing on side of house. There are weep drain holes in all for corners, but they need to be punched out. Easily done, flip it over at tap using a small flat tipped tool. No drilling necessary. To be extra sure no mulch or small leaves entered the buried corrugated pipe system, I also purchased 12x12 filtration netting inserts. Very pleased with the combo!! See images.

Works OK for me. Thank you.
Seems to work well, it doesn’t (for my application) yet clogged up. I use it for runoff from the driveway at the corner of my barn. I really haven’t carefully studied it, but it does seem to keep the corner of the old cracked poured concrete foundation basement of less wet and for that I am pretty happy.

Good drain
Simple landscape drain with pipe connectors works great for the $$.

It Leaks
We have used prior versions of this unit. This is the "New Version," so I figured there were improvements over the prior version. The outlet adapter slots (4) around the perimeter don't line up and leave large unsealed sections where water leaks out. Although it should not be a huge issue, it will saturate the soil around the basin where water can escape during a difficult storm. The manufacturing seems low quality, given the poor fit. I think the manufacturing cost savings are the "improvements."

I have had this basin installed at the edge of my long sloped gravel driveway for almost a year now so it has seen all the different weather patterns we get. I was blown away at how well this basin worked for my application. The reduction in how much gravel on my long driveway gets washed away with heavy rain runoff and spring snow runoff is amazing to me for the size of the basin. I should also mention how much better the price was than anything I could find locally

I installed it as a drain at the bottom of my driveway, then attached some 4” hose to join it to piping leading to my sump pump. I attached the supplied outlet to one hole and the closed door to the other. I needed to silicone 4 holes per side as these attachments create holes. I also drilled 4 holes in the bottom, otherwise a couple inches of stagnant water would always remain at the bottom of the reservoir.

I bought this catch basin to go with my NDS Flo-well. I wanted to put this against the house so one of my downspouts would empty into it, and then I would direct that water to the dry well. The problem is that where you connect the adapters to attach your pipe to direct water, there are large gaps where water will leak out before it even gets the chance to go down the PVC to where ever you're redirecting it. I have no idea why they think this design would be ideal. The outlet for water drainage is a few inches above the bottom of the basin and there are holes where the connection sits that water will exit from first. There are numerous photos and videos floating around (and I think most of these reviews reflect it) of a prior version of this where there aren't these holes in the sides, and maybe you could get away with caulking or gluing them, but there's just no way with this new version. I emailed customer support asking about this, because who wants to put this beside their foundation (there are photos from NDS with this as a placement example), and they say it's by design for a "soil-tight fit". They even tell you to drill "weeping holes" in the bottom to allow standing water in it to drain into the ground. All I can say is I'm trying to redirect water away from my house, not allow it to go in the soil. I don't expect a catch basin to have holes. Do not buy this.
