Great Card!
Creative sound blaster has always been my favorite audio cards. This product is so good. Sounds great even with my old speakers. It auto detected my set up and worked with minimal configuration.

Easy to install, and has been working great for me
After years of use, the sound on my MB abruptly stopped working. After trying everything I could think of, I gave up on it and bought a cheap $12 sound card that I saw advertised all over the web. That lasted for about 2 weeks before it stopped working too. I then bought this card. It was simple to install, and it has been working great. Before, I was able to plug my headset, which includes a mic, directly into my PC headphone socket, but with this sound card, I needed to get a "headphone mike splitter" to plug separately into the headphone socket and the mic socket of the sound card.

Excellent Sound Card
Best value for the money for the feature this has. It has no noise levels. The software is very easy to use.

Good card if you still own old speakers
I still own an older Logitech analog 5.1 channel surround system, so I needed a solution on my new build. Most modern motherboards don't accommodate analog surround without plugging cables into ports on the front and back at the same time. Not sure why anyone would ruin the look of a brand new computer build with cables hanging out of the front like that. Decided to get this, and so far it has done the job nicely, and works will with the three analog 3.5mm connectors I have to plug in. No noise that I can hear. Only complaint is that the driver has gotten funky a couple times when the computer goes to sleep, making the output switch up left and right channels. That requires me to open the Creative software, and switch to 2 channel and then back to surround.

Pops / crackles and no support.
Audio pop/crackle when playing windows sounds. No response from Creative. Spend a long time trying to resolve, gave up and removed hardware. Confirmed it is hardware and/or software related to this item because the onboard Realtek audio does not do this with the same exact speaker setup. Save yourself the trouble, this is not the Sound Blaster of old.

Leap to the moon
Last time I had a soundcard that wasnt on my motherboard was back in the AMD Athlon 64 era - since then Ive just used onboard motherboard sound. Recently I built a PC without external speakers so Im forced to use my headset - and no matter what I did I couldnt get them loud enough - went through 3 headsets before I found out that the onboard soundcard is what was lacking. I remember I used to have soundblaster Sound Cards, didnt think they still existed but to my joy SB is still kickin - and I can see why. The clarity, the vibrance, the crispness, the quality of the software. Its not even in the same universe. I can hear everything, I can modify everything, I finally feel the fullness of the sound. For the first time in 5 years, I am beyond impressed with a computer component. This is a stellar piece of hardware, and the price is low. Id pay 2.5 times this amount easily. Didnt expect it to be so good, I just wanted to test out to see if the soundcard was my issue, I expected to have to buy a better product - but I dont.

Just My Experience
Purchased July 2025 - died end of September 2025 (of course return window closed in August) - had a brief power flicker and now sound pops and hisses. PC connected to APC surge protection, everything is properly grounded, outlet, electrical box, etc...hooked up my 5.1 surround system to old PC and speakers are fine. The sound card was working flawlessly before but now seems to be overheating maybe. Listening to a 2-3 hour podcast is fine for about an hour before speakers start popping and hissing.
