Rothco Field Jacket

Very high quality, better than Army issue Mil-Spec. It's very cold right now in northern Idaho. This jacket is really warm. The material is very durable and the wind doesn't blow thru it like some of the other cheaper knock-offs.

This not the M-65 I wore in the Army; The fabric blend is different; however, it is a terrific jacket with more water resistance than I remember from the military OEM. It has the familiar button on lining, and the hood inside the collar zipper. Gosh I did a lot of hunting in that old jacket before I outgrew the thing. On this version of the M-65, the sizing runs large, which is a welcome benefit for this guy who wears 2XL standard. It is roomy enough for layers. I'd say a 2XL is more like a 3XL on other jackets. I just hope the durability is good.

I cannot comment on durability as mine just arrived today, but I see no reason not to expect satisfactory durability. The jacket is well made with quality materials and stitching. It does fit a little snugly, but not bad, but hen again I'm not he shape i used to be. I bought this jacket to replace one I had in High School a long time ago, and it fills the bill nicely. A few washes and it should be an old friend.

I hate Chinese made crap. Having said that this matches the ucmc marpat camo of my usmc gear. It fit well. I am 6 ft 1 and 220. Fabric seems good. Has a good inner liner for warmth. Its a pricey for being made in China. The product overall is good but Chinese made means what about durability over time? I dont know. A big negative is they put on a highly shiny reflective copper colored zipper,….. on a camouflage military replica jacket why? They need to change that.

I searched around for a good M65 field jacket and I found out they’re not made in USA anymore! Was looking at the Rothco jacket and watched a couple you tube videos on the jacket Im 6’2” 255lbs. Then I noticed Amazon dropped the price on the 2xl by half and I had to order one. I have an old M65 jacket that was made in the USA and it’s a lot heavier than the Rothco. The Rothco fits me good and it keeps me warm. It’s a good buy !

Better than I expected. Solidly built with good seams and zippers. Lining is not super warm, but effective and removable if you want less bulk. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the hood, which is usable but a bit small. Not a deal breaker though as I didn't intend to use a hood with this. Comfortable and good fit for the size (2xl), with decent sleeve length and both waist and bottom drawstrings.

I had a field jacket 40 years ago which i wore for a decade. Decided I wanted another. Certainly the quality was better way back then, as was most anything back then. This is not perfect, but its wearing in OK. I've washed it several times, and it is getting better and better. Sure the modern zipper doesn't seem as nice as my old one, but then again, this is working fine enough. Waterproof? Not what I wanted it for. I could spray it I suppose, but why? It was awesome during the fall and winter for cutting and splitting wood, working on my car and my buddy's tractor. The winter lining was super warm. As I wear it, it is developing a comfortable familiar feel and looking better the more I wash it. My XXL fits well and I usually wear XXL. But everyone is shaped different so read the reviews and make your informed choice.

I had one of these issued to me in 1978 I’ve always wanted another OD green M65 field jacket . I know it’s made in China but man is it made nice great quality I almost got a XL but the XXL was a good choice , roomy . I’m so excited been waiting a long time and it was worth it.
