Q: Is the keyboard backlit? How does it charge?

Not backlit when first turned on

Q: Is the keyboard backlit?

I don’t think so… I charged the keyboard and turned it on but couldn’t pair it with my iPad mini after multiple efforts. The iPad gave a four digit code to enter on the keyboard which the keyboard wouldn’t do. But didn’t see any lights under the keys.

Q: I don’t want to use the plastic case that the ipad goes into. can i just put the ipad on the magnet like apple’s magic keyboard?

Not all cases are plastic. You might want to call apple to see if u could put your mini on a magnet.

Faulty keyboard

The case and keyboard were nice and I was really excited about it but after using it, some of the keys didn’t work and they were important keys such as numbers and letters. Disappointing.
