Securely stabilized The Bottom Step
Smaller than I thought it would be so I had to order a second one to put on the opposite side of the step. Purchased for a Class A RV and the stairs are long. They do provide a very stable base for the step and eliminated any movement when the stair was stepped on.

decent for the price
needed a support for my stairs while stationary. Works decently with blocks of wood for additional support

Keeps my dresser from bowing in the middle!
So I bought a cheap(ish) bureau about...two years? ago and slowly, slowly, the middle of the bureau began to bend in the middle so that at first the corners of the left and right sets of drawers would scrape, but then after two years the bowing was so bad, I'd try to open one drawer and as many as three other drawers would open with it because of all the drawers overlapping in the middle where the sagging was. I hated to think of spending hundreds of dollars more for a new one, so I started thinking about solutions. That's when I thought about getting a brace. I kinda didn't know what I wanted was called a brace, I just had the general idea of what I wanted. I'm not exactly sure what I typed in Amazon search to find this, but I am so glad I did! It is a nice hefty metal. Pulling out drawers is supposed to be pretty uncomplicated, and before this brace, I found myself leaving drawers half open, because shutting and opening them had become super annoying. Several weeks after purchasing this, I can pull open one drawer, and have only one drawer open! This is adjustable, as it indicates, and I have had to adjust this three times already, as the boards of the bureau straightened back into regular shape. It "spins" smoothly and appears to be very sturdy. The bureau isn't extremely heavy, but it's still over a hundred pounds when full and this brace is more than capable of holding it up.I'd definitely recommend this to people who need an adjustable brace. The only thing I would note is that it is a little difficult to "extend" the brace once in place under something because there is nothing to grip. It would be ideal if there were a little knob or something on the underneath to grip and slowly rotate to increase the height as desired. But, all in all, a good product that does exactly what it is supposed to do!

They get the job done!!
I purchased these to put under our questionable step going into our camper. It seems like the step is just really worn and has been stepped on one too many times. It isn't broken but just seems like it's pretty worn out and needing some extra support. I originally purchased one and put it under the step and noticed that it helped a lot. The only problem was with one under it then the ends both seemed kind of weak and I wasn't sure if it was going to bend the step more. After purchasing a second one I am pleased to report that now the step is working great. The supports work so well and I think people could benefit from them even if their step isn't showing signs of wear. I think it would help in maintaining the stability of any free standing step going into an RV. We keep these in our camper and tuck them under the step anytime we set up camp. The quality seems very good and they're holding up very well. Great product!!

Square plates top and bottom are not thick enough to keep them from bending.
I believe the brace is to be placed in the center of the step. That being so, this past long weekend I was able to give it a good test. Unfortunately, when I removed it to pack out, I found the top plate to be bent. I was out with my wife and two grandchildren and apparently the must have stepped to one side of the step or the other. The top and bottom plates are very thin and they twisted. I made sure the pedestal was securely in contact with the under side of the step. It was securely in contact with the level ground and the underside of the step. I have ordered another so that I can place one to either side of the step hopefully to support the step evenly. Too bad because it is a good idea.

Great support
We love how these support the all the steps of our rv. No more wobbly stairs going in and out. To adjust the height of these supports you just twist the top to raise or lower. The supports are solid and well made but aren't so heavy you're giving up precious weight. Under our bottom step there is a handle bar that spans the entire width of the step so we slide the top of the support into the gap between the bar and step and it's very stable. Stairs do not budge. Easy to install and remove. Just remember to pack them and not leave them behind as they're not designed to be mounted. I highly recommend.

Works well...
I finally was able to test this product and I'm happy to review it works as advertised. I have a travel trailer that has a higher than average clearance with only a two-step entrance. This product ensures the first step is firm and doesn't move. This also helps provide extra stabilization when entering. I almost immediately noticed going in and out there was less of movement on my smaller trailer. Build quality is good, but you really can't screw this up unless you use bad materials. For the price, this a good value. The product is a bit heavy 2 lbs (for the 7-5/8"-14") for what it does. So, for those who are pinching pounds may need to consider if you want this convenience. Still, this makes things just a bit more comfortable and has value over weight for me. I would recommend this product for any RV'er.
