Well balanced, as swords should be
The Wilkinson Sword is a really great blade to start wet shaving with. It is very middle-of-the-road between sharpness and smoothness, not as aggressive as the Feather blades and not too mild as to not work at all. The Sword should perform admirably for most people, if paired with a medium to mild razor. It takes off a lot of growth in just one pass. But a true BBS requires at least two passes (one with, one against the grain). The blades are also dirt cheap. 230 for a 100 blade pack (2 packs of 5 tucks of 10 blades each), which is 2.3 Rs. per blade. Each blade gives me 3 good shaves, with 3 passes for almost every shave. If my estimate is correct, this 100 pack should last me nearly a year. I personally prefer the Gillette 7 o' clock Permasharp (green) in my current razor, I will switch back to the Wilkinson Sword for any new razors that I buy.

Smoothest!!
After using this I realized that SMOOTHNESS is what you want. Over-Sharpness is harshness. Sharpness is overrated. This blade is butter smooth, not sharp. hence your skin feels great and needs less after shave lotion !
