Great book!
I bought this book for my eight year old grandson for Christmas. I read the book before I wrapped it and actually enjoyed it. It’s not all about winning and being a star athlete—has lots of life lessons. This is great book for young athletes.

Your decision...my concusion
As per my honest opinion, this is worth only the energy that you can generate from heating it up. Unless, one rewrites the hyped description and lowers the age recommendation. It does not decode any greatness. 72 pages might have been enough to begin with - there is almost none prose. And the curation is a styleless disaster. It is ones own decision. I decided to return it straightway. To have a balanced review, the other book that I ordered - The Legacy and the Queen, within the same age recommendation, is in another league.

Really awesome chapter book for the young sports fan
The artwork is really pretty, the stories are easily digestible and engaging for young readers, and the chapters are interesting. The book also includes blank lined pages at the end for the reader to take notes or write down their thoughts. I love that extra element of encouragement for creativity in young minds. Overall, if your child is a fan of basketball and/or Kobe Bryant then this is definitely a book I would consider.
