Perfect for my needs.
I swim quite a bit and I find that fitness trackers don’t work well even when they say they are for swimming. I think the flex is the most accurate. I wear it in an anklet. I find it to be more accurate and also it allows me to wear the smartwatch of my choice. Also I like how long the charge lasts! Extremely convenient!

I wanted to love it
I LOVED this. It was super comfy and so easy to use. I didn’t want anything fancy or big. However I only had this product 4 months before the quality became an issue. I wore it day and night. I loved that it tracked my sleep. A week ago the tracker inside would constantly fall out because the band/housing became worn. Even as I tightened the area around the wrist I would wake up and have to look for the tracker. Finally a few days ago the tracker fell out and I didn’t realize til I tried to sync and it said “not found”. 4 months of use. Not worth the money.

Flex 2... Awesome! Amazon... Awesom-er!
This item was a replacement for a Flex (1). I received my first Fitbit Flex as a promotion with a phone I purchased from my cell phone carrier. I had tried other devices (Misfit) and I was not please. The first few months I had problems with my Fitbit, but Fitbit customer service solved my problems efficiently and promptly. I had my Flex for about 2 years when I lost it. No idea where it is. I tried everything. After about a month without a Fitbit, I decided I really wanted a new one. So I purchased a Fitbit Flex 2. I did so through Amazon (because Amazon is awesome!) and also purchased a 3 year extended plan ***!!!! I RECOMMEND GETTING THE EXTENDED WARRANTY*****!!!!! I have had my new Flex 2 for about a month now and everything is going very well. The app on my phone updated recently, it now looks like the online dashboard, which is very easy to use. While the original Flex is (in my opinion) a good product. The Flex 2 is an improvement. Several improvements that have noticed and that are important to me are as follows...1) Flex 2 is slimmer; it is not as bulky as the Flex 1. The wristband is also sleeker than the original2) Flex 2 sends notifications (text messages, incoming calls)3) Flex 2 has better swimming features. This is important to me because I enjoy swimming. I noticed the Flex 1 rarely noticed I was swimming.. Although, right now it is the middle of January and I have yet to check out these features, I am looking forward to the summer much more than I have in the past.So far I haven't noticed any negatives associated with the Flex 2. I am quite satisfied with this product. I also recommend it to anyone. If you are reading this review trying to decide which Fitbit device to get, I recommend the Flex 2. For the price (less than $80) it is a great product.

Bought several of these for family members for a friendly competition to capture activity. I specifically chose the Flex 2 as one of our activities we like to do is swimming and I'm notorious for breaking watches while playing sports. I'm still not entirely sure what the deal with avoiding getting soap on these devices, but I've been doing that regardless. Overall I'm extremely please as it syncs nicely with our iPhone and Android devices. We have our devices synced our phones and to some of our tablets (Nexus 7) and the blue tooth pairing works just fine. The continuous active sync doesn't seem to drain the batteries too much. The watches do last an entire 5 days as marketed and I also get a friendly reminder through email that my device needs to be charged again. I keep my Flex 2 on all the time, except for charging purposes. At first I was afraid of ripping the band while taking it off, but it's durable enough that I don't even think about it now. It was hard at the beginning to take it off or switch the metal clasp (it only comes with one, so don't worry if you need the band that doesn't have it, just need to switch it from the other band... I freaked out initially that my package was lacking! That's what I get for not reading the instructions to begin with...). Comes with a small band and a large band, but one metal clasp. The small band fits my 6 year old just fine, the large ones have plenty of room to spare. I'm using the small band toward the last couple of holes, so I have a whole band to move up to if needed!Pros:Works as marketed.Waterproof for Swimming laps (don't have to worry about taken it off for showering).Easy to setup.Easily to switch out with different colors.Easy to take off and put back on once you get the hang of it. (See review). Can add multiple Fitbit devices under the same Fitbit Profile.Cons:My wife always beats me in steps, I think she walks a certain way that it counts more steps for her... but I'm probably just a sore loser and she's beating me fair and square.I wish it had more color bands or custom decoration options for the bands.
