Starry Nights 2017 Astronomy Wall Calendar

I needed a calendar for the year and wanted to get something different from what I usually do and I'm glad I did. This has to be the highest quality wall calendar that I have ever owned. The pictures are gorgeous and detailed. Aside from the moon phases, which use a picture of the moon instead of just a circle, it also has other astronomical information such as eclipses, the position of planets, the equinoxes, the solstices, and meteor showers. I really appreciate all the pictures given that I can rarely get far enough away from the city lights to get a good look of the night sky. I didn't think that a calendar could actually impress me because it's just one of those items that you buy for practical reasons but this one changed my mind. I doubt I'll be tempted by other calendars next year.

Beautiful and unique photos. Paper is good quality and the size is large, although I wouldn't mind if they made it even a bit bigger. Still, I will definitely check them out again next year.

This is the second year I have purchased this line of calendars, and while it is a little wider than last year, the pictures are just as good and I enjoy seeing them on the wall. Calendar is good quality and includes some astronomical data.

I get this calendar every year! It keeps me informed for the dates/times of astronomical events/perfect times to stargaze, and include some beautiful photos. I have tried other calendars but the others either had too much detail or not enough. Highly recommend!

Pretty decent calendar with all of the moon phases. I hung this up at work. I like to know when I am approaching certain ones. Also, the landscapes in the pictures are pleasant to look at throughout the day. My only qualm with this is that if you don't put something behind the page when you write on the calendar, the markings will bleed a notch through the paper and you will see a faint outline of what you had planned for this month on next months calendar. Learned that the hard way, so that's why I give it 4 stars to be honest. The bleed isn't terrible, just noticeable. Overall it works though.

This is a lovely calendar. The size is right for hanging in a cubicle. I look forward to each month with its breathtaking picture.

This calendar has beautiful pictures. I like the little pictures showing the phases of the moon each month. I also like having reminders to look for events that will be happening in the sky.

Very pretty pictures. There's an added bonus of an extra small picture on the calendar side, so you get double beautiful skies. This calendar is also an astronomy nerd's dream. Just like holidays, it has significant astronomical events on it. I love this about it! The only downside to this calendar is you cannot write in pen or pencil on it. When I did this, the writing created a carbon copy-like transfer on to the page below it. I tested several different pens & pencils & tried to put zero pressure on the paper, but it still happened. The only writing utensil I've had success with was a fine tip permanent marker. The marker tip is soft enough.
