Will this work for changing the ruger precision rifle barrel 308 cal?

Yes it will clamp the barrel just fine.

Will this work to remove a barrel from a large ring Mauser? Havent had any luck with a wood block style vise

I do not see why it would not work... I have used this several times to remove barrels from Remington 700's and Large shank barrel nut from Savages. It locks the barrel down very well with no movement what so ever. As long as you have a good action and a few firm hits from a large rubber mallet should do the trick.

Does it come with bolts to mount to a table

No as table / bench depths vary.

Ar gov't barrels usually have a long taper from 0.675" to 0.625" - has anyone used this vise for various ars?
