I just got this DEWALT TSTAK II toolbox and I could not be happier! This thing is sturdy enough to survive the apocalypse, but light enough that I can actually lift it without feeling like I just bench-pressed a rhinoceros. Seriously, it holds up to 66 lbs, but it feels like it’s made of some kind of magic lightweight material. At less than $20, this toolbox is a steal! I was so impressed that I ordered a second one because, honestly, one just isn’t enough for all my tools—and my tools seem to multiply when I’m not looking. The stacking feature is a mind-blower! I can create a mini tower of organization right in my garage. It’s like my tools are living in a fancy apartment complex now. And here’s the fun part: this isn’t just a toolbox; it’s basically a multipurpose storage unit! You can stow away everything from craft supplies to a sewing kit. Sure, I’d love a pink version, but hey, I can live with yellow. It’s DEWALT’s signature color, and let’s face it, they’re like the royal family of tools. I can tell this toolbox is built to last. I’m pretty sure it’ll be around long after I’m gone, ready to host the tools of future generations. Overall, I’m just super happy with the quality, craftsmanship, and of course, the price. I recently got my hands on the DEWALT TSTAK II tool box and I am over the moon! This thing is like the superhero of storage boxes. It’s super sturdy but surprisingly lightweight—perfect for my not-so-mighty arms. For under $20, you get a box that can hold up to 66 lbs! I mean, I can’t even lift my grocery bags without getting a workout, but this tough little guy can handle it all. I was so impressed, I went ahead and ordered a second one because, why not? It stacks perfectly, so I can just keep piling on the tools (or, let’s be honest, it can also be my secret craft stash, my sewing kit, or even a fancy makeup case). And can we talk about the color? Sure, I would have loved a pink version—who doesn’t want a fab toolbox?—but yellow feels like a power move. It’s DEWALT’s signature color, after all. Besides, everyone knows they’re one of the most prestigious tool brands around—who doesn’t want to brag about having one of their boxes? The quality and craftsmanship are top-notch, and I have a feeling this toolbox could outlast me. I mean, at this rate, my tools might have a better retirement plan than I do! Nice case, good price. I was needing a "box" for miscellaneous hardware, speed square, pocket level, extra pencils and Sharpies, you know. This works great as it has one big compartment but not so deep that you have to mine for a pencil. Very sturdy with good quality. Same Dewalt latches that are on all their cases. It fits right on top of my other TStak boxes. Makes going to a job, much easier as all the pieces/parts are in one box. I am ordering another one now for electric tools.

For less than $20 this is a great product for a great price for storing tools for the DIYer as many have suggested. I don't know why the product in the US does not have a weather gasket to add protection from rain and dust like the European model, but it does not. From another review here, I saw someone add 5mm(13/64") Diameter Round EPDM solid Rubber tubing to the groove on the cover to give it better protection from the rain and dust. Also, the box does not have any padding, it is just a plastic shell. When open, it is has some torsional flex to it, but when latched the box is quite rigid. I have ordered polyethene foam (Kaizen) to create customized individual cutouts for my tools to add a layer of protection and organization. The TStak II fits in perfectly with the entire TStak line of storage boxes. I have three stack consisting of the TStak Mobile Storage, TStak I Long Handle Box and TStak V Organizer. They have improved the side latches that lock the different boxes together to create the stack. It now has metal bars that go into the cover to give it more strength than the first generation of TStaks. The great thing about this product line is that you can also purchase Craftsmen Versastack pieces and they're using the same interconnect technology and probably have some duplicated pieces. In fact, they have the weather stripping in their boxes. Not sure why they were left out of the DeWalt US Market, may be as another differentiator between DeWalt's TStak and ToughSystem lines. The ToughSystem line appears to be more geared to the people in the trades working every day with them at job sites. I like the idea of the two handles so you can either carry like a tacklebox or a briefcase. Initially it was tight to clip in the boxes, not sure if they'll get easier over time, but I would rather have them too tight than too lose. The base appears to be the same for both the TStak I and TStak II, but you get about a 1/2" more space in the cover since it does not have the top compartment for assorted bits. I am not sure I would purchase this for the MSRP of $39, but well work it for $20. I have a couple of corded DeWalt tools that are close to 20 years old that came in a case and those cases use thicker plastic.

It's the TSTAK line so know this going it; It's for home use and hobbyists. I have the Tough System cases for work and they're much more dense and reliable for beating around with. So given that, this particular box slips right in where I need it: Something I don't use all the time and just hold one set of kit. I might get more TSTAK but we'll see how this one works out. The size is correct and those that are given by users and DeWalt are the minimal internal space. As you see I have random stuff and the largest item in there is the MAPP gas bottle which fits to the front or back given the little extra space where as under one of the handles takes away some capacity directly under it. There's maybe another 3/8" of room if you can work around the top handle's internal indent. Two handles, so that was something I didn't see right away. One for briefcase carry and one for tackle box carry. Not sure the tackle box carry is useful but some might, just seems awkward to me and does take up that much needed space for others. The DWST08201 Tough Stack doesn't have 2 and I never needed it so keep that a neutral. Hey, some may use this for something other than tools for $20. It'd make a great Drone case if you add some foam. This is a nice case for around the home and just storing stuff if you plan accordingly. For what you see in the picture, I was using a Home Depot box with a tray and always digging through it anyway and at least this held all the stuff better and less digging. Even those 8 green shop rags fit in there better and I only took them out so possible buyers can judge the internal size. With that, it's my recommendation that it's a buy for anyone using at home or once in a while at work. It doesn't work with other systems even within the DeWalt family, but we already knew that I hope. As with all power tools the last two decades, this is no different even if it's a tool box: Once you buy a cordless battery you're in that environment for a very long time or pay out the nose to change flags and replace everything and these box systems are no different. I don't have TSTAK 1's to test for backward compatibility nor do I want to try. It shouldn't wear out or break if I don't beat it up and the TSTAK II system is what I'm moving forward with at home. I can't underline that enough, this is for home users and hobbyists. I can stand on it, sit on it, but kneeling on it had me a bit worried and I'm 163lbs. The one universal thing I think I can end with for all of DeWalt's tool boxes are the lock hasps; They're just plastic with no steel backing. Someone got into my Tough System work box with what appears to be a simple pair of diagonal cutters and if there were simple steel pieces in there you couldn't open it enough to get much of anything out without a lot more work for a lazy thief. Steel inserts, can't cut 'em with wire cutters DeWalt...let's work on that. You can see one of the keyed-alike Master Locks in the picture and how thin the plastic hasp is. Locks are mostly visual deterrents, I fully understand a motivated thief will get into anything, but I feel something that makes them work a bit more has them move on or...well, caught and dealt with in a dark alley. It's a $20 home/work box so that's neutral for me here too.

Super great product. Has the power and functionality to get to storing quick! Fully recommend this and it has worked great since I've owned it. Still going strong in the durability and design looks like it will keep it going strong for many years. Highly highly recommend buying this. Will work in Kuwait, Iraq, UAE, and Saudi. Good for Camps like Arifjan and Buehring around the CENTCOM area!

Big! A lot of room for tools etc. Durable!
